I saw this band in 2006 or so at a $5 show at a 100 person dive bar in Columbia, SC. Never heard of them, knew 0 songs. 50 people came. The band brought 7 members and a pipe organ. Absolutely killed it. At 10pm when the noise ordinance came into effect, they refused to leave the stage. Cops came and they wrecked the stage and some instruments and got handcuffed. A couple thousand bucks in damage at a show they made like $200 on. Been a fan since that day and forever. True rockstars.
@halien55752 жыл бұрын
I use to live in Columbia! The year I moved away they played there. My friends got to see them, unfortunately I did not. They sent me videos, but it'll never be the same. Sucks because I introduced them to Manchester Orchestra.
@MarkMoughamian2 жыл бұрын
Just saw them last night in Columbia. Probably my 7th or so show since 2008. I've seen them play at The Fox Theatre in Atlanta, at Music Midtown, and last night on a small stage for about 1000 people (small for them today). They killed it. May be the hardest they've ever rocked. MO always brings it their all, no matter how big or small the crowd is. True rockers through and through.

This video was created/directed by Ben Disinger, a film student at RIT, for an experimental film class. When he showed it to the band they liked it so much they made it the official music video. This why its so different (and frankly better) than most music videos we've become accustomed to.
@miniginger8813 жыл бұрын
My best friend goes to RIT with this Kid. Apparently this was a project for school and he saw Manchester Orchestra in concert, talked to them about his video, they watched it and called their manager and now he has the official music video for this song. It's amazing the places you'll end up. Congrats Ben Disinger. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Being precisely the message of the song, it is no surprise that the majority here do not realize the absolute, thematic profundity traversing a medium of words and guitars. This is truly a diamond in the rough.
@jaceareleous51602 күн бұрын
I love how the song talks about how impure relationships become, we build them together with our hands. And yet we make them fall downward and rust. Very thought provoking song that can apply to traumas, passions and moments that shift our personalities. I interpret “Virgin” as the moment all men face, the moment that changes them and turns them into something that will never be the same.

(You build this up in one day to fall downward and rust) (You built this house with your hands, and your time, and your blood) (We built this up in one day to fall downward and rust) Heard don't move unless you know someone you can move And I bruise just like anyone would bruise And I know we've got a long way to go I know I've got so far We built this house with our hands, and our time, and our blood You build this up in one day to fall downward and rust You built this house with your hands, and your time, and your blood We built this up in one day to fall downward and rust I'm gone You tried to emphasize and side with both your ghosts In time I swore I'd take the straight and narrow path but still won't I hold his ear I'm only trying to do my job tonight Kiss him on top his lips and crucify the fire We built this house with our hands, and our time, and our blood You build this up in one day to fall downward and rust You built this house with your hands, and your time, and your blood We built this up in one day to fall downward and Never really feel the same No, it's never gonna be the same No, it's never gonna be the same No, it's never gonna be the same (We built this house with our hands, and our time, and our blood) (We built this up in one day to fall downward and rust) We built this house with our hands, and our time, and our blood You build this up in one day to fall downward and rust Trust in me the same way (with your time and your blood) Holy or inane (to fall downward and) Never really feel the same No, it's never gonna be the same No, it's never gonna be the same It's never gonna be the same (Never gonna feel the same) (Never gonna be the same) (Never gonna be the same) (Never gonna be the same) facebook.com/lvngubrthlss
