Stephen made some very good points and there are a few things else, Firstly, i understand you can't have a team without coaches but according to Ole, Carrick and McKenna are the coaches so i'm very surprised they weren't sacked along with Ole and also Phelan as all four of them are an equal part management team and rumours coming out some players are surprised only Ole was sacked. Now if Ole had decent coaching staff and i know he called Carrick, McKenna and Phelan world class and personally he couldn't have been further from the truth would the team have performed better? for me getting rid of Ole hasn't changed anything and i guess we'll see over the coming weeks. Secondly, stop listening to ex United players turned pundits, they've left, there the past, there recommendations have got us to this, mainly Ferdinand talking garbage, have an interim yes but then get a full time manager (back then) now it's get a full time manager NOW don't let Carrick go on for weeks or months and thirdly what is it with hiring all these ex United players, coaches, technical this and technical that, get rid of them all, United are all mates at board level and there all mates at football level, this is why the club are failing and failing big, this isn't a mates only club this is one of the biggest football clubs in the world and should be treated accordingly.

People say United missed out on Conte but really, they missed out on many including Tuchel who was on a 2 year contract at PSG that ran out in 2020. United also need better decision makers above management, people who lead with their brains, not emotions. Re: the current squad. Think back to the way the team performed in the first match of the season. There were MANY pundits discussing United being real title challengers. That statement obviously looks daft now but the point is we saw how good the team could be if they put in an honest shift working together as a TEAM.

Been saying it for over a year. Living in the past, red nose is gone, the game has changed, but the arrogance remains, the results don't come close. They have paid too much for players they had to have ?..who have failed at each level faced. There is no formation, no constant, they just got worse, and have survived by late goals. The "we've turned the corner" crap is more relief than reality. Worse is the ineptitude of so many players who get further off the mark of quality, and have been found out. This training staff who look pitifully out of touch as each game has been played. At the present time, the club are in disarray, a shambles, with players downing boots to place the blame on another person, while removing the responsibility they should own, attempting to pull the wool over the obvious, utter failure to produce quality on the field......A name exists....what used to Manchester United no longer rings powerful as the entire system has collapsed, with to many ex players shoring up the manager whose decisions have produced even worse outcomes. Ole was given way too long, the players he has, too much credit, the results and outlook abysmal. Talk now of red nose being director of football.....STOP IT, he had his day, as have this brand. An adult needs to be in charge, but allowing control is questionable, as so many egos run rampant. Time to re tool the entire brand, and remove those who do not fit the ideals of the club, if any are usable in the game as it is played today.

Biggest problem is they have brought players in to fit an existing system then the moment Ronaldo resigned simply because he was available they decided to change everything and that left many players not getting games of coming off the bench because they now don't fit into a system. Is it great that they signed one of the clubs most iconic players again? Yes but when you don't really try and adapt how the team is playing to fit him and others in the team to play to their strengths then any good momentum won't last long. Overall they haven't even attempted to find a way to make it work with certain players just instead leave them out because they rely on a rigid formation.
@millmoormichael66303 жыл бұрын
Would Klopp have brought in Ronaldo? No, not really. Why? He’s not that mobile anymore plus and he can’t defend. The whole of Liverpool’s front line defends all the way to Mo Salah. It’s total football at maximum, everyone defends everyone attacks. 💪

No sympathy personally from me on Ole. I remember when he took the job at United and he constantly kept criticising mourinho and how he did at the club. I'm not a fan of mourinho either but I know who I'd rather have at my club in terms of success. It's like getting a nurse to perform a heart transplant ole was just way out of his depth. Nice guy tho and good luck to him

Fair play to Warnock. I'm a blue, third of four generations, grew up on the Kippax. My old man used to call them (utd) the "big heads" and they were and still are. If you've signed for the club just outside of Mamchester(!), youv'e got a big pay packet and a lot to live up to, and even though I am a"bitter blue / noisy neighbour" these guys don't deserve to wear that shirt but think they do. Exactly as it runs, OGS never going to make it. A lucky twist in some games got him some success but not in others. Chelsea are the same, bit of luck but all the history books say is who won, not how poor they really were. Who wants to go to OT next, poisoned chalice me thinks and happy for that to continue. Still only one team in Manchester, check with the council!

We cannot live on past glories. The Manchester United Board of Directors made the right decision. Changes are necessary, when something or someone does not work well. We hope that the new coach knows how to take advantage of the qualities of each player and that he exposes a more productive strategy.

Solskjaer being made permanent came off the back of a seriously impressive run. How could anyone not give him a chance when you've had proven winners in Mourinho and Van Gaal get sacked and destroy the club morale in the process? It's very easy to make definite remarks after the lad turned out to be below par, but at the time he was worth a chance. The difference he made was massive. As for money spent, why do people always harp on like it was money spent exactly where it should have been? If you need a spoon for a bowl of soup and someone buys you a knife instead it's hardly smart to argue that a knife is just as good because money was spent on it. He wasn't good enough, hadn't been for a long time and probably never should have had the job, but what he did as interim manager was good enough to believe that he could be something worthwhile.

What I don't understand is people are mentioning Pochettino as the new Man Utd manager, so what are his credentials ? What has he won ? And this sums up football, it's just a merry go round, one manager gets fired and gets a better job, and another one does crap and takes the place of the first manager, and on and on. I think Ranieri at Watford has better credentials than Pochettino.
