Pep who made a calamity of a team selection for the ChampionsLeague final 2021 they lost vs Chelsea who only just scraped 4th that season ahead of Leicester (& the year before also just above Leicester) plus WestBrom who were going to be relegated THRASHED Chelsea 2-5 in the PL AT STAMFORD BRIDGE just a matter of weeks earlier to this (when Pep had made same mistakes weeks earlier vs the same dodgy Chelsea team in FAcup semi-final which was bad enough as it seemed obvious his selection would fail even then). As the others said, PL was a more competitive league for example in 2002/03 there was only 10 points between 8th & WestHam in 18th who got relegated with 42pts. ManUtd would've actually won 2002/03 with a crazy big points tally if the lower teams weren't better back then because ManUtd were brilliant against the top teams got 35 out of a possible 42pts (and +22 GD) against the Top8 compared to the runner-up Arsenal's less than half (17pts) despite a ThierryHenry offside brace at Highbury to get a 2-2 draw against ManUtd so deservedly ManUtd won the title but they also did that when getting to a cup final and also playing 16 ChampionsLeague games which is 3 more than you'd play nowadays if you got to the final but were 2 rounds short of that in 02/03. Although had a strong campaign up until facing possibly the best ever RealMadrid team on paper but still beat them at home.

After watching this I am still baffled and surprised by how underrated Beckham is as a footballer. He’s looked at more as a celebrity rather than as a legit great player. He was the soul of this Manchester United team. And the way he orchestrated their offense was such an art form.

lol what? in the 90s every kid wore the beckham collar bought his predators and had the hairstyles like him... it wasnt because he was a celebrity... because all the kids who liked him liked him because football.. he had swag as it was called then... he was the ronaldo before ronaldo. Anyway people knew beckham was quality back in the 90s it was only after a lackluster time at madrid did he pick up the overall quality of career. He was surrounded by the best in world, Zidane, perez, ronaldo (the first the best) reberto carlos figo the lot... so he was outshined and outplayed over in spain they didnt play his style of football... they kept the ball on ground in spain in 90s early 00's so beckham wasn't about that game and he failed which he faded off into distance then and forgot about. He should have stayed in premiership instead of going to madrid and milan to model.
