Cool! I have a 19 hp B&S 570cc industrial V twin I want to put in an offroad kart and have and old snowmobile CVT laying around I'd like to try and use if possible. Do you think it would work or is it a too big CVT and maybe requires too high RPMs to engage properly? Have you tried this before, what do you think?

You might need to change the engagement RPM, but the main issue could be tgst snowmobile shafts could be tapered and the briggs might be 1” or 1 1/8” straight shaft.

Hey, I'd appreciate a reply as soon as possible. I've been looking at one of these on craigslist for a while and I seen the Steering rods are in front of the steering shaft. I am curious if you ever find that a problem?

If that is the way it came from the manufacturer, then that's the way it is supposed to be. You can ask for the model number and pull the parts diagram from the users manual. Manuals for Manco karts are at americansportworks.com and show how everything should be set up

What torque converter did you use? Because I plan I getting a 670cc v twin predator that seems like it will hookup with a series 40 torque converter. Do I have to use the series 30 or can I use series 40 and can I even use this motor without killing any of the bearings and such ( yes we are keeping in mind that that motor will be big and thrash around alot so we will have to strength the engine mount on the kart itself )

Just read the description, you used a series 40 so it will work with the v twin since the series 40 fits on it if you have any suggestions let me know please because we plan on building it soon roll cage and all

+Cole Guthrie 40 series is only rated for 18 Hp but you can run it on that engine. Chain, belt, and sprockets will all wear out faster. Chain will stretch a lot. Best bet for bearings is the pillow block ones as they are heavy duty.

+KartFab Thank you, yeah I know about the 40 series, I watched these guys build a small kart much smaller than yours and mine put that twin on it and oh boy was it something, because they had a huge sprocket on it, it only went about 37mph and did alot of wheelies lol other than that it sounded like a Harley, so if your ever thinking about upgrading I recommend the twin it's a beast of a motor and you can get it at harbor frieght

Nevada Jones yeah its tough isn't it? Here is where i bought my parts: www.gopowersports.com/#aid=2986 Just type in tie rods, brakes, whatever else the pucks usually need to be replaced, not the entire brake itself. Also tie rods are pretty universal, and can be cut to length if you know how to cut metal.

KX RIDER CJ nope, no belt issues at all. I did clean the torque converter though as rust can really chew up a new belt.

I sold this particular one for $1000 USD. I bought it used for $200, engine used for $200, added tires for $150, paint $20, seat $50, custom fab $10, had to clean up torque converter etc. Lots of work! Probably worth a lot more now, but was fun to fix up. These aren't made anymore, so you would have to get it used from someone who already has one.
