MANDALA FLOWER TUTORIAL | Alex's Innovations

In this video, I’ll show you how to make a mandala flower out of embroidery thread. You can keep the flower as-is, or you can turn it into a bracelet, which I’ll show at the end of the video.

I believe that the knot she used at the beginning are macrame knots called lark and square knot respectively

I think you’d be able to, but eventually the piece might curve due to your not being able to expand the area without adding more string. I’m not sure though, it’s worth a try! Good luck! :)

I'm a little confused. What did you do to those pink strings that you attached the petals to at fist? I mean the the strings that you made the circle in the center with. By the way, it looks really beautiful :)

I wonder if you could make less/more petals and colours... Adding colours seems like no problem, petals could be tricky. Have you tried with 6 instead?

I just was wondering how do you get the flower to lay so flat with 7 petals? I am having a problem with it laying flat. I am knotting as loose as I can. I dropped down to 6 petals, seems to be alittle better.

make sure you have seven petals, with seven colors and seven strings per color!

am i missing something? in the beginning she said you would need 7 of each string but it seems like you need 7 of the first color and 6 of all the rest since there’s only 6 petals?

there are seven petals! after making the first six, then detach your base string and make a seventh petal based on that :)
