I always use longs strings to avoid running ou of them. I used around 80cm but i think 60 is more then enough. It was a long time ago so im not sure exactly.

When I made this my petals turned out really small, how did you get yours so big?

Hello Keira, it might be due to string you are using. Im using 8 stranded embroidery floss in all my videos. Or maybe your knots are too tight. Its hard to say without seeing your work. Hope i helped :)

Did you cut the strings off at the end? What do you do after the glue dries?

Hello, after the glue dies you need to cut them off close to the knots. The glue will hold them tied. :)

Can you glue the edges with any glue or does it have to be the glue used in the tutorial?

You can use any super glue :) i use this one just because its body safe

I have the same questions as someone else: What kind of string are you using (it looks like the same kind of string you use for friendship bracelets) and how long should the strings be? I don’t want to not have enough length to finish, but I also don’t want to waste a lot of string by making it too long. Any help from anyone on here would be appreciated! I’m a newbie to this. 🙂

I think using half your wingspan should be good. My friend used her wingspan and it was too much. Sorry it’s a really late reply.

In your string is too thick the petals are bigger. You can try without one petal :)

You could use half your wingspan. My friend used her wingspan and it was way too much. If you still are uncertain you can add a few centimetres to half your wingspan.

Hello, i cant remember how much i used. It was a long time ago. But you dont need much, i think 50-60cm will be enough.
