Sir You are the best I have my Fluid mechanics test tomorrow and I just didnt know what actually boundary layer is!! Although I have read the books as well. But these 11 minutes were far more fruitfull for me than that bulk of hours. God Bless you. Great power to you sir

the Reynolds number values which were given in the video may differ TO FLAT PLATES AND CIRCULAR PIPES , AND IN FLAT PLATES THE REYNOLDS NUMBER AGAIN DEPENDS ON SMOOTH PLATE OR ROUGH PLATES (in rough plates laminar flow ends very early and turbulent flow starts very fast due to the roughening effect in plate) I think the values you were given is for a ------------FLAT ROUGH PLATE.......and as far as to my knowledge "re no" for rough flat plates are (5*10^5 for laminar) and (6.5*10^5 for turbulent) ,,,,, and for smooth plate (5*10^5 to 7*10^5 ) and for circular pipes Reynolds number varies from (2000 to 4000)

As per my understanding, fully developed boundary layer thickness in a 2" pipe is also 2" because its thickness keeps on increasing with length. Right? But isn't boundary layer imparts negative effect on flow as it provides resistance. So we must counter it. But how can we counter it as it seems to be a property of fluid or you can say fluid solid interface?
