This is one of the videos that really brought me into the Mandalorian fandom several years back. Looking back, this song really fits perfectly with Mandalorian spirit, culture, and worldview; their sense of honor, their ‘manifest destiny’ (I’m sure there’s an actual Mandalorian term for this), and the slaying of “the dragon”, which sounds eerily similar to the ancient Mythosaurs, whos’ skulls have become among the most recognizable Mando symbols; “no more living in fear, it’s time to raise our king”- in my mind while listening to this, within the context of Mandalorians, the Mandos are in a sort of ‘recession’~ living shameful, ‘fearful’ lives. It is time to raise their Mand’alor (king) once again and take back their rightful place as holy, honorable warriors. It is their destiny.

I think the song is from Deathwatch's point of view. They see themselves as "The chosen Ones" and Warriors who fight with honor. But after the death of Duchess Satine and Pre Vizsla, Deathwatch break into two groups, one stay with Darth Maul leading the red and black faction and Bo-Katan takes off with the other half of Deathwatch in the gray and blue outfits, so that means there were two groups called Deathwatch ? Maul soon falls to Darth Sidious's attack leaving Almec running Mandalore but what ever became of Maul's red and black armor clad warriors ? Did they side with Almac or become renegades ? What also happened to "The Night Owls" who have Bo as their leader ? Did they overthrow Almac or join him ? Maybe Mandalore ended up in a civil war over leadership ? Anyways, the song fits Vizsla's way of thinking/seeing himself.

I wouldn't quite say that the Death Watch were true to the Mandalorian heritage as they claimed. That title goes to the True Mandalorians in my opinion. The Mandalorians of old were warriors, true, but honourable ones. The Supercommando Codex and the Resol'nare - especially the Resol'nare - explain what 'true' Mandalorians would act like. The Death Watch are the result of a perversion of these values, twisted by sociopaths and monsters over generations into what people believe the Mandalorians were. Look up the Mandalorian Civil War, that'll explain it better. It's technically Legends, but it's all we've got right now so it's be best we have to piece it together.

I feel death watch, although traitors in the past, are the only ones living up to the Mandalorian name. The dutchess is ruining Mandalore and she deserved her fate, for a civilisation of people to be feared galaxy wide and then suddenly a change after the clone wars began is ridiculous. I mean Mandalorians went after the Republic whilst they were fighting the sith & now they can barely stabilise a terrorist attack, wow!. Although the old Mandalorian style is better than the one enforced my the dutchess, I believe that the Clan Visla is a strong clan, after all they have the same armour. Probably a personal desire but I like the Idea of an army to wear the same armour, I mean how much more unique do you want to be than the only army in the galaxy that uses jetpacks in battle. regardless of this, I believe Jaster Mareel & Jango Fett's armour are the best ones out there ( Boba took on jaster's armour after he became a bounty hunter). Relating to this topic, I reckon more Mandalorian media should be portrayed, I mean lucasfilm or Disney idgaf after they were under new management, but anyways we need more Mandalorian games, maybe a film spin off from the original saga, perhaps covering the Mandalorian wars back around the era of jedi civil war or anything Mandalorian that shows us how it is to be a Mandalorian in the galaxy, maybe a separate MMO game where instead of being jedi or sith, you're Mandalorian. It'd bring communities (clans) together and the practice of Mando'a can be implemented. How cool would it be for a Mandalorian game online where all participants speak mando'a... (im still learning mine though)...
