Ikr i remember my first time marching and our director had us sit on football field turf in 101 degree weather the turf burned my knees so badly that they are actually burnt forever with small marks of where the little beads of within the turf got stuck on my knee... All i have to say is i never went on the field or on the concrete pavement ever again without knee pads

after doing WGI for 3 seasons knee pads are great but it's def still rough on the body when you commit to the movements like you do in the moment.
