OMG, I haven't laughed so hard in months! During SA apartheid, Mandela and ANC were designated terrorists by the CIA. PLO was also labeled likewise. Basically any liberation org whose ideology conflicts with US imperialistic hegemony is thus labeled a terrorist organization. But nevermind that it's our gov that tries to influence their politics and if unsuccessful will resort to regime change.
@sapnaa657611 сағат бұрын
The final punch was great. The great Nelson Mandela asked-why don't you listen? Have you noticed the west. They never listen, understand, respect any thought or culture other than theirs. They make a grand show of being inclusive but are extremely narrow minded, and intolerant of others different from them. It's an animal instinct. Everyone does it. But it's their hypocrisy that astounds me. All because they have the military might and marketing genius to force their ideas on the rest of the world.

Western governments supported Mandela's incarceration, and South Africa's horrific apartheid system for years. Only reluctantly, and very belatedly, did they finally accept Mandela, and his struggle for equality & justice. Old enough to remember. And, I will never forget. Amazing, Nelson Mandela used his many years in prison to develop his mind. He spent nearly six years of his prison sentence in solitary confinement, something that would destroy the mind of a normal person, but Nelson Mandela was no ordinary person, he used the quiet time to meditate and improve his mental abilities.

I wish this video could have started sooner than it begins, so I could have heard the statements Koppel made that the Video title describes as disparaging support for Palestine/Libya/Cuba. I was too young and politically ignorant in that era to have been able to know the more complex backdrop and political struggles throughout the entire region. I only remember how the "America Held Hostage" nightly programs ushered in the viability of hard news at night. Projected at me during that era was a one-sided american network media view deifying Koppel as a well informed correspondent. .... It would be illuminating if anyone here could explain in context the whole onset of what was marketed as the "Iranian Hostage Crisis". Thank you.
