OMG, I haven't laughed so hard in months! During SA apartheid, Mandela and ANC were designated terrorists by the CIA. PLO was also labeled likewise. Western governments supported Mandela's incarceration, and South Africa's horrific apartheid system for years. Only reluctantly, and very belatedly, did they finally accept Mandela, and his struggle for equality & justice. Old enough to remember. And, I will never forget. I wish this video could have started sooner than it begins, so I could have heard the statements Koppel made that the Video title describes as disparaging support for Palestine/Libya/Cuba. I was too young and politically ignorant in that era to have been able to know the more complex backdrop and political struggles throughout the entire region. I only remember how the "America Held Hostage" nightly programs ushered in the viability of hard news at night. Projected at me during that era was a one-sided american network media view deifying Koppel as a well informed correspondent. .... It would be illuminating if anyone here could explain in context the whole onset of what was marketed as the "Iranian Hostage Crisis". Thank you.
