@@SchlossRitter I think a good way to think about it is that the Mandelbrot set is a visual representation of something more akin to the number pi: it's clearly not infinite (it's less than four for crying out loud), but it possesses infinite detail with regards to its exact value; no matter what digit you jump to in pi, there's always infinitely more detail beyond that. Same thing with the Mandelbrot set

Assuming 24 bit color, and noting that the video is 1080p, 60fps and has a duration of 13:44, we can work out the uncompressed size to be around 308GB, larger than most people would care for but not impossible. More importantly, they could have compressed the video to say 3GB and this compression would be much less brutal than on the 432MB file that KZbin is serving up.

That isn't really what quantum computers are good at, in a nutshell, they fucus more on combinatorics and simulating quantum effects. What you need to generate the mandelbrot set is a very powerful gpu as those excel in parallelisation, so you can generate all the pixel colours at the same time rather than using a cpu to obtain their colours one-at-a-time.

I think you need add more variety. The way I see it you are essentially staying on one Julia set here, just going deeper and deeper. I would love to see a video where you alternate between the different 'well known' areas of the Mandelbrot Set. So, when zooming into a 'minibrot', go straight to one found bya 'lightning bit' above the north/south bulb[s] or the 'straight bit' along the west bulb or maybe the 'spiral bit' in between the cardoid and the west bulb, and finally into the cardoid apex'. If you mixed those up those up and made an animation of that, I would like to see it. Actually, how do you do these? I would like to have a crack myself.

If you want to, double the speed to see something cool. When you are at 3:02 put it at normal speed to have no seizure. When you are at 3:18, you can put the speed back to 2. At 5:40, put the speed back to normal. You can put it back to 2 at 6:15. Then put it back to normal at 8:30. Then back to 2 at 9:10. Then back to normal at 9:33. And finally, back to 2 at 12:35.
