My first Christian concert was Mandissa with other artists I realized I understood that she was worshipping and not just singing 🙌🎶🎶 I overcame a surgery that mutilated my digestive system and I had to wear two colostomy pouches for allmost five years. I was near death at only 100lbs , the song overcomer was also my victory song. I had no idea who she was until I asked Alexa to play a song about good morning. Her song good morning soon became an anthem for my mom in the mornings. As my mom experienced more of her dementia, she will forget what that song was but it brought us so much joy when we would sing and dance together. Wow in the video above Mandisa is so transparent about what led up to her 3 year crisis of faith & contemplating suicide..,.after God pulled her out of that she declared that Psalm 40 is what she prayed will be her legacy ! Psalm 40 ~ 1. I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord;
And He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up out of a horrible pit [of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay,
 And He set my feet upon a rock, steadying my footsteps and establishing my path. 3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear [with great reverence]
 And will trust confidently in the Lord. I 100% agree with her statement of being a bridge and how we get walked on by both sides but we can't let that stop us from being a bridge and living how God wants us to reflect His light and how He wants us to evangelize. In one of my darkest periods of my life, I ran across her music in 2015. Overcomer became my go-to song everyday without fail. We watched her on American Idol all those yrs ago and she was a breath of fresh air singing Christian music. I was in awe of how she handled the body shaming publicly by Simon. I heard her in later yrs singing her uplifting songs and was so happy she was able to keep going with her career. Both believers and unbelievers can have life long struggles with depression. So sad for her loved ones. They will be reunited one day in Heaven.

Looking at all the comments here and what others have said, she really touched thousands of lives, including mine. She was a beautiful soul!! I loved her dearly, and she will be missed.
