Fabulous... Reminds me of my grandfather who made a couple of mandolins which I played along with him downstairs as a kid. Great job there...from nothing to something special. Thanks for the journey...Kudos.

I have infinite respect for your lack of safety procedures... that takes years and years of practice getting comfortable with equipment. Beautiful work, beautiful mandolin!

It is unusual to have spruce on top and bottom of a mandolin. In addition, moderately unusual to use big chunks of wood, cut down for the sides instead of bending thin pieces of wood for the ribs.

What is the top and bottom made of, please? Thanks.

interesting, is the bridge not attached to the body in any way?
@richard7071 Жыл бұрын
Most mandolins have a floating bridge so intonation can be adjusted.

You got yo be kidding me people that watches this and that do not know better learn how to use dangeorus tools the wrong way and might end up hurting themselves.

I can't even watch this. Even though I am sure you kept your fingers to the end, just watching the use of power tools is making me ill.

No guards on anything? Check! Sandals in the shop? Check! Fingers 1/4" from a fully extended bearing bit? Check! This video has it all! I don't see any missing fingers but that doesn't come down to experience.... it's pure luck.
