My kids actually preferred to get Halloween at home. They got their favorite candies, a fun kid-friendly dinner, and we usually watched a movie. You don't have to go overboard, just have fun with them, let them dress up (you should too they love that). Play a card or board game or encourage them to do that after dinner. Have the older kids take a toy or candy to their room and have the little ones knock for trick or treat.

We missed trick or treat a few years ago because we where moving. We had my daughter trick or treat threw the house. One of us would go into a room to hand out 🍬 to her. It was two fold because she was born blind, so she learned the layout of the house too.

It really does. I dyed my hair once when she was little. I thought it wouldn't make a difference to her. She got scared because I didn't smell like mommy. It's amazing how much they teach you and what we take for granted.

At Easter we of course couldn't go to any Easter Egg hunts, so some of the Mom's in our Neighborhood we packed thousands ( maybe hundreds 😉) of eggs with candy and all the houses with kiddos we hid them throughout the yards. It was so sweet to watch. For Halloween we're doing Trunk- or- Treat to try to still Social Distance and have the little ones be able to still have a trick or treat experience.

I live in Los Angeles and Halloween is basically cancelled. My sister has 3 kids so we're decorating our parents backyard and having a little Halloween party. Hiding little candy bags similar to an Easter egg hunt. Not the same, but still some fun with candy

I live in a village in Cornwall in the UK. The live have decided that we all get pumpkins, carve them, out them in our windows or on the porch and the parents go around the village with their children and when the children spot a pumpkin, the parents give them a sweet. I’m also going to do a pumpkin and make holes in the top and push lollipops in so it looks like scary hair! Love your videos...thank you :)

I haven't reached for it because pinks make me look like I've been crying, lol, but it looks so beautiful on you, I'll try it again with exactly the shades you used. Thank you for always providing a wearable look for every day, no matter what the color. As for Halloween, since children aren't born with a love of holidays, and they learn the fun from us, whatever you do to make this one festive for Charlie, she will love. I do like the idea of borrowing the easter egg hunt idea for Halloween candy. Why not? Everything's different this year. Might as well roll with it. :)

I’m with you, struggling this Halloween with two kiddos in prime trick-or-treat age. I read some suggestions from the CDC and I think we’re going to hang candy ghosts in the trees for any trick or treaters who do come by, then dress up and hide other treat goodies in our big yard for my kids to do a flashlight search, similar to an Easter Egg hunt, but spooky themed. We’ll do candy, but probably some slightly nicer treats too to make up for not trick-or-treating. Then a Halloween movie-thon and maybe make candy apples and popcorn balls.

Halloween for us is trick or treating in our home. Every door my 5yr old will knock and there will be either a surprise behind the door or a family member handing him candy. As long as he has his costume on and gets treats, he's good 👍

The Morphe brushes with the white brush heads are all so scratchy. The others are ok, but the only ones I’ve kept are the m506 and m507 because finding other brands with those brush sizes. I use a lip brush for my inner corner. It gives me exact placement and I appreciate it!

I love all of your picks! I did a deep dive into skin care and makeup as I have entered my 50s and discovered you, Mrs. Melissa and some other wonderful people. I just love your channel and you are so informative and funny. I have learned so much from you and your videos are one of the highlights of my week. I realized as a busy teacher and mom that I hadn't really bought much new makeup in years. My first discovery was the Milani palettes - the Most Loved Mattes. I just love them. I just opened a new L’Oréal sponge and I think I got a dud. I remember my last one (a while back) being super smooth like you said but this one is definitely more porous, like a kitchen sponge. That was a little dramatic but you know what I mean. I also feel like it soaked up a lot of product but still blended everything out fine 💁🏻‍♀️

I really do love drugstore products but I have to recommend a high end foundation. I wasn’t going to because it’s $60 but it’s just so good I can’t help myself. It’s the new Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow foundation. If you watch Tara Lynn’s review you’ll see how beautiful it is and she’s dead on accurate with everything she says about it. I’m justifying the price because of how beautiful it makes me look and trust me it takes an act of God to make me look beautiful and I use it every day so I definitely didn’t waste my money. I know it’s a lot of money but if you’re willing to splurge I can’t recommend it enough. The Milani palettes are so good but I gave mine to one of my residents I take care of at the nursing home, she would say every day how she wished she had some eyeshadow so I gave her my Milani palettes and she’s loving them. It made me happy to make her happy 😊. Btw Rephr is having a big sale on their brushes right now.

Miss Mandy. Just wanna tell you the pink beauty sponge from shop miss A is way better. I also like their eyeshadow brushes and their fat lash mascara (it dries pretty fast but it’s a $1 so I get 3 at a time). I’ve come to realize that the products that are .50 more, bc their give you a foundation, are better. Oh and their skinny brow pencil that dupe the brow wiz is awesome too. 😁

We decided that since we couldn’t trick or treat like usual, this would be the perfect year to do themed group costumes and have a small party. There are three families in our remote learning pod (we each take the kids one day a week) so we’re doing a Harry Potter theme! We have Harry, Ron, Hermione, one of the youngest will be Professor McGonagall, and the little ones are witches! We’re making Halloween treats and playing spooky music and going all out on the theme since we can’t go to houses around the neighborhood! Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays but I’ve never been able to do a party because of trick or treating, so this is our year! I never bought the Pure Passion palette because it looked exactly like the Violet Voss Holy Grail (that I got in a Boxyluxe) and I may need to pull that out soon-I get so wrapped up in oranges and greens and coppers in the fall, I forget how good deep cranberry and burgundy look as well!

I have a friend group of about 5 couples who all have kids between 1 and 9 years old. For Halloween we are getting all of our families to dress up and pass out candy n a trail that we will set up on one of our friends farm. The grandparents are so excited and so are the kids. This is also great because we don’t have to worry about the candy that the kids get being tampered with. I also want to mention that I live in Georgia and everywhere is pretty much completely open so COVID restrictions have been pretty lax here.

Have you thought about Trunk or Treat at a local church or school for Halloween?
