Holy holy cow. I wasn't expecting to upload this. This was originally an instrumental created for the toastbeard (ZIQ44: toastbeard.bron....
The theme was:
"Pick an episode and write a song about how the events might have played out in a parallel universe.
Whether the change leads to a completely different ending for the episode, or if just a single tangential subplot is added (or ruined).
For example, what if Twilight had applied the wing spell to Applejack instead of Rarity in "Sonic Rainboom"?"
My thought was a pretty simple one. What if Applejack, while in Manehattan as a filly, was looking away from her bedroom window, and never saw the Sonic Rainboom that would have called her back home?
For the longest time, this instrumental was sitting on my soundcloud, and I was trying to come up with lyrics and a melody, with no luck. I went on vacation for a week, and when I came back, my buddy Le Soldat ( / soldatpony ) had come up with lyrics and recored vocals, and I was FLOORED.

This, my good folks, is beautiful. It just has so much soul in it. Its this kind of music that I will always love more than any other style. Its like going back in time and sitting in a small club, where in stead of the noise being blaringly loud, you had a singer with an old announcer mic, with a lone spotlight, singing their soul to the audience. Nothing flashy, no gimmicks, just their talent, their skills, and their soul, while everyone sat in silent admiration.

So I heard this and thought, "hey, not bad!" A week later and I can't stop listening to it and sharing it with everyone I know inside and out of the brony community as an example of the increasing level of talent within the brony music realm. At first I was afraid it wouldn't be the version I was looking for but I distinctly remember the somewhat wonky, uneven-y climb (there is probably an actual term for it) at 1:36 that I absolutely love. Not bad in the Piano. The 7th chords, 6th chords and suspended chords (sus2,sus4). The Piano could have been more light and less dryer (reverb). The Sustain, Soft and Sordine Pedal could been a good use in this song. Anyways, its good (7/10) Cheers, Brony Doc Interlude
