@@noirlavender6409 Limiting a players options in a game about options is never the answer imo. I understand camping is boring and lame asf, but regulating how players can play is a slippery slope. If it comes down to it, a character ban is the superior answer. Of course banning characters is also a slippery slope. If you ban Jiggs, then Fox and Falco are up next (respectively), which I think is not what any Melee player wants. So the answer is to just deal with it, no matter how lame the tactic is.

One of the biggest things from this set is how pretty much every time Leffen tried to spam up tilt in neutral, Mango would bust his ass for it. Things like uptilt in place with fox seem like some staple safe thing but Mango shows it’s not safe and can be heavily punished.

Dude I LOVE the stats at 12:35. This is so legit. It tells a lot about the set, most common kill move with # is an awesome idea and cool stat. The lowest % kill, and total % is great to know, 1450 to 980.. basically Leffen only applied 2/3rd’s of the damage but he got those handful of quick shine kills.. I like that! I hope that becomes a regular addition!!

Why? Plenty of characters have safe projectiles, Dr Mario for example can safely spam pills and nobody complains about it. The same goes for Mario, both links with bombs and ice climbers. If your argument is that falco is a faster character then that really doesn't hold any weight.

These sets (like physical sets, with the decorations and shit) are crazy and I can imagine the players prefer the isolation from viewers being right behind them… but I miss the house-style tournaments Smash Summit used to do. Just felt like a bunch of people hanging out at a rich friend’s house ordering a bunch of food and playing games-in stark contrast to the huge venues and stuff, it felt comfortable and intimate. Yes this looks more professional, which is good for the Melee scene-but it also feels a little more corporate and less personal.
