First off, he DID have amnesia for the first 4 days! Second, as someone pointed out elsewhere here, the promise was he would tell her that he loved her only! Not that he had to confess first! --- 20:45 She even acknowledged that! It was just that she expected him to say it first! ETA: As the MMC said earlier, they were always making promises to each other. Which is why he forgot. Plus again, it wasn't him saying it first, just saying it! What's up with the mc's need for the girl to confess firat, she does so much for him and he is absolutely sure she likea him, but won't admit it when he's teasing her. Then he say that he doesn't like her face and back to the "you like me" taunts. It's easy for him to see that she likes him through her actions but he just taunts, tease and comes late when they go togheter to school. Damn it's toxic of him to fake the amnesia. Especially when he fake not remember anything they did, it does hint that he didn't find her a important part in his life... It all comes to light in the end.. ofc she didn't say it first after that promise, for all she knew he would say he loved her when he fell in love with her. If he remembered that promise and not confessing would mean he didn't like her, while if he didn't remember she might not think he was so pathetic that he couldn't say it, so all in all I can understand if she thought he might not like her after all.
