An after-story for those who don't like the tsundere ending: Not long into the relationship (about 2 to 3 months max), things return to the status quo of Niko constantly insulting him for no reason even when he's trying to do something sweet for her like give her a gift. So this time, he officially cuts all ties with her and stops associating with her. Making it known to the school why he broke up with her so the rumor mill doesn't get the wrong idea and start blaming him. Seeing an open opportunity to defeat her rival and gain MC's affection, Mimi comforts him during his recovery from being around Niko and slowly worms her way into his heart by showing him what a healthy friendship is like. Eventually, the two do get together and have a much healthier relationship. Niko tries to come to MC, saying that she's changed for the better and gotten over her harsh tendencies, but MC has already moved on and wishes her luck finding someone else.

Knowing someone for years makes the childhood friend more special and known about their pros and cons. MC knew that it was normal attitude and was fine with it. I personally would have chosen Mimi. I KNEW a girl like Niko for 6 years. She kept insulting me every chance she got. I put up with it because she was part of the group, and she actually was kind of fun to hang out with when she wasn't being mean to me. She eventually came clean and told me that she liked me, but I couldn't reciprocate her feelings because my image of her had been irreversibly damaged from all the insults. I don't like girls that are mean to a guy and just expect them to figure out that they like him. I prefer honest and kind girls. Tsundere's are one thing but what Niko was doing went beyond pretending not to be into him and was just constant verbal abuse. BTW, the 6 years were from 5th grade to 10th grade. she moved away after that.

Story Idea: An adult woman (FMC) receives a wedding invitation from her childhood friend and her first love(MMC) who she hasn’t heard from since high school. The reason why they cut contact was that she was a tsundere that teased yet loved him, but he finally had enough and stopped talking to her. She tried to talk to him but he always ignored her like she didn’t exist. He then left to a university far from her and now she learns that he’s getting married. After the wedding, she goes home heartbroken that because of her attitude she lost her first love. When she falls asleep she wakes up back in her high school days, before he cut contact with her. Taking an advantage of this event she vows to change her attitude to become a better person and to not lose her first love again.

What the hell, Kanon? You had the makings of a story that would set you apart from all the other manga channels. An MC that wasn't only genuinely fed up with his childhood friend's tsundere attitude and mistreatment of him, but was willing to act on it and tell the friend "enough is enough!" An MC that realized he didn't have to settle and had enough awareness to see he had actual other options. The story even has an FMC who is HONEST WITH HER FEELINGS TOWARDS THE MC! Dude is the patron saint of patience. Putting up with so much of Niko's tsundere persona while not batting an eye, Ryuichi is a tough MC. Unless the MC can thoroughly read the FMC's behavior, this shouldn't go into relationship territory, as a stable relationship requires both parties to be completely honest with each other. Most guys will lean towards being straightforward, so this kind of dodgy behavior will not work, as they will only look at the negative meaning and not read hidden messages if there are any. Really want to see a story where the MC cuts ties, holds to that decision and moves on in life. That would show the FMC that actions can have irreversible consequences, and after taking losses, lessons need to be learned for the future. Here, it's like the FMC is trying to keep the MC isolated and prevent other girls from taking an interest in him. She can cover that side, but she can't cover the side where he opts to stay single, and she can't force him to get a girlfriend, as she would be contradicting herself and becoming her worst enemy. These kinds of stories shouldn't have a 3rd party female character involved unless the MC ends up going with that girl over the tsundere childhood friend. Better to just focus on the two characters and give good character development to the FMC and have her grow out of her tsundere habits.

Best romcom for me!!! This is the best romcom i ever seen in yt!! I wish this romcom can have a anime version and i would definitely watch it!! And this is not like otber romcom i seen in yt (i know there's many out there but this is the first i seen something like this, like a masterpiece) the pictures are not the same, like using it again on another scene, and the voice acting i love it, and most in the comments section hate niko so much and ryuichi too saying that he is mid because he chose niko rather than mimi and saying that he prepared a toxic relationship than a heaven relationship, like bro this is masterpiece not like other romcom with tsunderes, ryuichi knows that niko likes him makes it more better than leading it into misunderstanding, niko may not be honest about her true feelings but ryuichi knows her true feelings and niko can still be honest to ryuichi sometimes and they can understand each other better than others, and most of y'all are choosing mimi rather than niko just because mimi is normal and not a tsundere and niko maybe the childhood friend of ryuichi that's still doesn't tell the fact that ryuichi still likes niko, and like bro most of y'all are mostly choosing the normal or heaven relationship with mimi and saying toxic relationship with niko, like what? Who would prefer a girl/woman who always forgive you and be kind to you even though you're always making mistakes and harsh thing? Like bro y'all are simple af, i think or in my opinion, having a relationship with niko rather than mimi is more normal than mimi, she may be a tsundere but she's still understanding and will act harsh to you sometimes and playfully rather than a girl/woman mimi who always treat you like a forgivable person in the world and always treat you in kind things like forgive you even though you always makes many harsh things and mistake, so i know we all have different opinion but most of y'all are only looking forward with mimi relationship treating you like a her child or something and saying with niko in relationship is toxic is just rude, i prefer both of them, but still niko and ryuichi on relationship on top, im not simp on tsunderes but i like niko and ryuichi relationship because they are mostly like bound to each other, and for mimi i think she will only be a best friend for ryuichi because that's how best friends treat their friend like how mimi did

You should cut ties with people who trash-talk and disrespect you. Doesn't matter if she's a tsundere or not she ridicules the MC no one deserves to be abused like that. It's her fault for not being honest. Most tsunderes are prideful and with high egos and only by breaking their spirit like rejecting them will humble and teach them a lesson to be considerate of the people before they lose them for good. Ryuichi is a fool, he's a letdown for letting go of a wonderful girl like Mimi. She's the right choice here.
