That's just stupid. It's sometimes hard to fall for someone when you've been like brother and sister for so long. But that doesn't mean you have to stop caring just because you don't want to date them. My little sister's best friend was like that for me. They had been like a pair of twins since kindergarten, so when she started trying to get my attention, I just couldn't see her as a romantic interest. My parents thought I was stupid, but I just didn't see her that way. But I never stopped looking out for her just like I did my little sister.
