Then again that harsh refusal while in a vulnerable state, poor guy must of lost the last bit of his self esteem. It is rough being a sarubedo mc you have a good chance ending the manga and still technically single.

If you find yourself as "Fuka" in a situation like this, try this: "How about dinner tonight? I'd like to spend some time with you." That's it. Nothing threatening or aggressive. If they say "yes", you can ask them at dinner if they would be interested in going out more often so you can get to know each other better. There's nothing wrong with moving things forward incrementally, though it would have been better if Fuka had just said "yes" when asked if she liked him.
