editing this video i felt genuinely shocked at how happy i sounded like … is that really me? i've struggled with chronic depression for over 10 years and it is hard for me to emote and the fact that talking about manga that made me cry got me so excited like this is weird but i think it speaks volumes to how much this channel has helped me in terms of getting up my confidence and i’m glad this video helped me show a bit more of my personality than usual, even if it doesn’t seem like a huge difference to me it’s like night and day so i just wanted to say thank you to those of you who have supported me, commented on my videos, or anything at all, i can’t believe how much this little community has grown and i feel like i don’t do enough or show my gratitude enough but ya all i wanted to say is thank you and thank you for being patient with me and thank you for coming along on this journey with me ❤️

Great run down thanks . OMG Taiyo Matsumoto his art is THE REASON I flock to all his titles the way he distorts the human features with grotesque distortions and heavy inks are to die for ! I inhaled Ping Pong it was wonderful. Cats in the Louvre is a new hardcover masterpiece where he showcases his artistic skills like no other.

i love all of your recommendations 😭😭♥️ you are capable of making me interested in all of these!!! as for me, i keep thinking that i don’t really read mangas that make me cry (i usually avoid anything that’s sad related since im really sensible) but the only one that i can think of is Orange, which is a really basic lol. But i guess the whole thing with Kakeru and his depression really got to me at some point because i could really relate to him.

not simple is definitely one of the most devastating manga i have ever read. it is absolutely empty and no other manga has ever made me sob so much having finished it. i think it’s genuinely amazing how i still feel those feelings today months after reading it. it just stuck with me and it is one of my favourite one shots ever and i love natsume ono’s work. so happy you mentioned it!!

i still think rainbow is the saddest manga i've ever read, but i agree, i'm still thinking about not simple almost everyday like ... i can't figure out what the lessons were supposed to be or whatever but i think it is just a really interesting and outstanding work

I get really irritated when I feel that manga/anime (but also other media) is trying to force an emotional response from me (like for example Violet Evergarden or Wolf Children)...but I never felt that when reading A Silent Voice. Feels pretty genuine to me, love it. As for manga that made me cry...The ones I remember the most distinctly because I was literally sobbing...Lovers and Souls by Kano Miyamoto, Nana by Yazawa Ai, Peace Maker Kurogane by Chrono Nanae and Let Dai by Won Soo-yeon (which is obviously a manhwa but same difference).

Yowamushi Pedal is so sad sometimes and I definitely have cried. Junta Teshima is amazing and my current favorite chart (previously Makishima)! Definitely my favorite sports manga. Thanks for the great recommendation!

This was such an interesting video! A Silent Voice is one of my all time favorite mangas! I don’t think it’s necessary a ‘make you cry manga’ considering the ending which I think is a positive and hopeful one ALSO! Can you answer on how many volumes there are on the 3 in 1’s of High School Debut?

my god, you should read "ayako" by osamu tezuka, it's a big but extremely complex manga and if you're a little sensitive, it's enough to move you anyway, good luck with the channel I love your videos

I have read some of these and never came close to crying so I hope you dont think im a evil sloth! Though I did feel the emotion cause im not heartless lol. Series that made me get teary were "The girl from the other side" PLease read if you have not its amazing. "My love story" Gave me the happy sad feeling at the end. "Erased" is a biggie and kinda hard to not just have big feelings about. (also great) .
