I ended up binging Blue Flag on the SJ app and I can say that I'm in team I liked the ending :) Uramichi oniisan anime is pretty mid for me so far, the humor reminds me a lot of british satire comedy tv shows and I'm also interested to see how the characters got to the kids show. Now you really got me interesred in 20th century boys, but before I check that out I need to finish some series first, rn I have too many unfinished series🙈

I was also not super excited to finish Blue Flag because of the negative reviews of the ending, but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually really liked it! I honestly think that it just comes down to each person's taste, so it's really hard to say whether you'll like the ending or not until you read it yourself. A part of me wanted a litttttle bit more from the ending, but overall I was happy with it! I'm interested to see your thoughts! Also, great video! I'm jealous of all the reading you did!

My experience with *Waiting for spring* started online, I read the 1.vol and I really liked it. And then I saw vol 1-3 in my local bookstore, which I ended up buying. And, I couldn't stop ordering all the following volumes- I always read my mangas while I'm traveling, so I was looking forward to progressing in the story each day. I liked the boys' dynamic and friendship. Over-all I really liked this series and it's proudly standing in my small collection. (Even though my ships in love triangles seems to be the ones not happening - ) One last thing I would want to mention is, I think you misinterpreted the scene where Ryuji wants to confess, since the others didn't actually know who to bring outside to him- I saw it more as something comedic and not necessarily as rude. I hope you'll like the series! I know *I* did. Please enjoy

I also read "I Think Our Son is Gay". So far, it looks like it's only the Dad who isn't "in the know". Mostly because his work keeps him away from home. Even the little brother, despite his nonchalant and deadpan expressions, he seems to constantly throw Hiroki a lifeline to get out of the awkwardness. Ranma 1/2 is to me better as an anime. A comedy that never takes itself too seriously. I finally finished Bloom Into You. After 5-7 months? For a romance, I thought it was OK. I found it to be very predictable which is why I took so long to finish it. I could guess what was going to happen. Maki is my favorite character. Yeah. Blue Flag's ending isn't that great. I mean it's happy but it left a lot to be desired. Like the mangaka had to wrap everything up by volume 8. It needed a "college" arc. There is also a character, whose character development that went to waste IMO. I'll go into further when you finish it. Though in a way, you can say it was realistic? The journey was way better than the destination with Blue Flag. A series I feel is overhyped, The Case Study of Vanitas. Art amazing, I'm giving credit where credit is due. But the main character is so gratingly annoying. And the awkward scene jumps makes the plot harder to follow than it should be. WTF is even going on, for a 1st volume everything is so convoluted. Which is a shame because I love Steampunk. I've also been reading That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. Everyone and their grandma is writing Isekai now. I went through several titles because I could find something that was at least worth a look. They all follow the same overpowered, self-insert fantasy. But at least with this one, it doesn't take itself seriously. Like yeah, Rimuru is OP AF but the manga revels and leans into the absurdity of it. He's a slime that you grind out to level up at starter towns and now he's basically a god-like being. The cast is also endearing. Their dynamics are wholesome and heartwarming. And the plot is coherent with layers of intrigue not only about "look how awesome and powerful the MC is"!! Watch him build a harem and sleep with everyone!! 😑 I'm also going to recommend a manga series that I don't believe you've read yet(?). The Witch and the Beast. I don't see this series discussed. Which is a shame because it's excellent. Like an episodic Gothic Horror with secret societies, the occult, mystery and high octane action. The art is also extremely gorgeous. I just adore Ashaf; Ashaf is cool. Guideau is impulsive and hotheaded like the stereotype main protagonist, but she might grow on me. Disclaimer, it's also violent with human sacrifices and mutilation and such.

Glad to hear that you’re enjoying Black Clover so far!! I would suggest to stick with the Manga though, the Anime was quite hard to watch due to the insane amount of filler episodes and I can understand why many people end up dropping it 🥲 I had to stop watching several times because it was just too much for me 🤣 The Manga sticks to the main story only and is easier to read in my opinion, I have the whole series and I don’t think I’ll go back to the anime again unless they stop the fillers 😣
