@@rolan5948 The artwork is ok ish at first but gets better and better throughout and one and it’s better concrete lines and designs. Not everything has to be hyper realistic designs to be well made or done. Things can be a more cartoony design and style while always realistically proportioned. It’s pretty good at it’s worst and damn well/recognizable as a whole.

all i have to say is i bought the dvd box set of FMA Brotherhood last year because summer vacation started and i was bored so i figured eh might as well try this out since i've heard it's quite good and i ended up loving it so much i ended binging the series in 6 days and immediately went on to watch the original series after and loving it too except for conqueror of shambala to me that movies god awful but the actual anime of FMA 2003 was great but i still prefer Brotherhood and it's my favourite series so i'm gonna be buying this box set next week for my birthday

I've got the 3-in-1s, they don't look as great but I still love them. Wish I'd picked this up during boxing week! Oddly enough, I never had a problem with Arakawa's art. She did a great job throughout the entire series, and while it may not be as detailed as modern manga I still loved it and think its among the best in the industry. One of my favorite series for sure.

The 3-in-1s are freaking terrible, by all means get the tankobon,the box set, or (if you find them somehow) the kanzenban. An easy 10/10 , fantastic series. Also, the artist said only those who survived appear on the spines.

The beginning of the 2003 is the same as the manga and brotherhood is exactly the same as the mangas story. YOU NEED TO READ IT because after each volume of the manga as there are some extras which have some pretty wacky jokes. It’s what will probably drive you to reading it after just watching the series.
