That collection is awesome. I’ve been collecting mangas for six years, and even much, much longer because I started getting them for the first time in 2011 when a friend gave me a Naruto manga. As far as my collection now, I have all of Naruto, all the current volumes of Boruto, all of Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball, all the current omnibuses of One Piece, a few volumes of Bleach, all of Yu Yu Hakusho, all the currently made volumes of Hunter x Hunter, every single Yu-Gi-Oh! volume as well as all the spin-off mangas of it, I’m working on finishing Rurouni Kenshin, I have all the current ones for My Hero Academia, One-Punch Man, all of Dr. Stone, Food Wars, Assassination Classroom, Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland, some of Jujutsu Kaisen, Slam Dunk, Haikyu, D.Gray-Man, Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, Kaiju No. 8, Shaman King, Toriko, Gintama, Blue Exorcist, Undead Unluck, all of the current volumes of Black Clover, all of Death Note, the first volumes of all the JoJo parts so far, some of Inuyasha and Yashahime, some of Black Lagoon, all of Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, as well as all the Colossal Editions of Attack On Titan and all the Deluxe Editions of Berserk. I’m hoping to get a box set for Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul: Re. A good amount of these were hard to get since some weren’t sold where I am, I had to order some series from America like Yu Yu Hakusho, Shaman King, Toriko and Gintama. I like to have all my Shonen Jump mangas together and I personally prefer getting omnibus versions of manga so a lot of the ones I listed are in 3 in 1 omnibus editions. I wish a lot more had omnibuses, but I’m still super happy with my collection and can’t wait to get more.

Orange is supposed to have another volume publish this March, I believe. Marmalade Boy is getting an omnibus that is releasing this year! CMX, an imprint that was under DC Comics, went defunct in 2010. They initially published Emma back in the day! Maidsama and Skip Beat omnis recently went through reprints, so it should be easier to find and complete, especially on Right Stuf. What a fantastic library tour!

The new setup looks so bright , your collection is closer to library now 😊 P.S- karekano is like a pioneer shoujo to me that introduced so many themes in shoujo manga unlike others. All the other mangas that later came about dual personalities and inner conflicts ( horimiya for examples) kind of felt like a shadow of kare kano. Karenkano delves much deeper, deals with family issues and meaning of parenthood better than many mangas. I read it many years ago online so would definitely like to read again given chance😊

Love your collection. The Ultra Manica manga is so cute. Karen Kano is so hard to collection now. I'm so close to have in the complete collection. It was too bad that Tokyopop shut their US office down for a bunch of years. It has made it hard to collect their series since most are now out of print. The only reason why age gaps are still kinda accepted is because it still exists and can be seen a lot. It doesn't have the same reputation as something like pedophilia, which is in most cases way more problematic, but when it comes to an extreme age gap, like when a 20 year old guy/girl is dating a 16 year old guy/girl. Or a 70 year old man/woman being with a 40 year old man/woman.

I think when I was trying out different series, I just went along with what other people recommended and tried to give myself a bit of time to read and process to see if i liked it!! but speaking one year later, ive learned that age gap romance makes me pretty uncomfortable! for the underage age gap ones, i completely don’t touch them or recommend them at all now :,)

I feel like that would depend on what sort of collection you want. I just started, but wanted to have a small collection of series I could read at the end of the day to wind down. Thus I went for slice of life series that I can see myself rereading. Are you wanting to get into new series with collecting, or are you wanting to have an archive to reread? Also how much do you want to invest both time and money (Ps. Wotakoi has been a super cute and is 7 volumes, so that's my vote, also ongoing crossplay love:otaku x punk has been a favorite recently)

the chinese collecting is so real. I've been wanting to collect Haikyuu!! for a while (in English) but just didn't get around to placing the orders yet. And then I went to Taiwan and found most of the volumes at Eslite for 100 NTD each (about $3 per volume) and that's literally half price off rightstuf's cheapest price T.T I couldn't help it and had my mom help me lug everything back in her massive suitcase. In my head I thought maybe they might fit with my single english vol, and literally the chinese ones are so tiny. (I was originally naively planning on ordering 21-45 in English.) I'm committing to ordering the rest in Chinese too lmao at this point. Bc English is so expensive. Maybe if they publish the Shueisha jump remix versions in English. I struggle with reading traditional Chinese RIP.

I believe it’s only available in chinese for now but if you have auto translate installed on your laptop, try searching up “晴天咖啡館 書”. It translates to Sunny Cafe (the game is on Steam!) but I also cant seem to find this book under that name in English >

Heads up about Gakuen Alice- I love the series but I unhauled mine because it can't be completed in English. It wasn't fully released when Tokyopop went under in 2011 and even though Tokyopop has made a comeback I haven't seen any plans to reprint the titles that were dropped at that time. I haven't seen anyone else pick up the licensing for it either so I don't think Gakuen Alice is going to be reprinted/completed in English.

And was like oh he's in love with the teacher. Eahhh My sister owns vol 1 of Sailor Moon.
