Mango Frooti Recipe | Mango Juice Recipe | Frooti, Mazza

Frooti is a popular mango drink in India, but you can make a delicious homemade version! Here's a recipe for mango Frooti:
*Ingredients:*
Ripe mangoes: 2 cups, chopped
Raw mangoes: ½ cup, chopped
Sugar: ½ cup
Water: 6 cups
*Instructions:*
1. *Make sugar syrup:* In a saucepan, combine ½ cup sugar and ½ cup water. Heat on low flame until the sugar dissolves and the syrup becomes slightly thick. Set aside to cool.
2. *Cook mangoes:* In a separate pot, combine chopped mangoes (both ripe and raw) with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mangoes are softened.
3. *Blend and strain:* Let the cooked mangoes cool slightly. Transfer them to a blender and add the remaining 4 cups of water. Blend into a smooth puree. Strain the puree to remove any pulp or fiber.
4. *Combine and adjust:* In a large jug, combine the strained mango juice, cooled sugar syrup, and additional water if needed (depending on desired consistency). Stir well to combine.
5. *Chill and serve:* Refrigerate the Frooti for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy your cool, refreshing homemade mango drink!
*Tips:*
You can adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your mangoes.
For a tangier Frooti, add a squeeze of lemon juice.
This homemade Frooti can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
