We really do need this and all the growers across America and beyond to be a television show, like an all day news channel only it's actually good like these videos and the community, the big one, of growers and also mushroom farmers and aqua growing and cross overs. Love it. Makes me happy to be in Florida.

A neighbor had to cut a huge mango tree, loaded with fruit a lot were small and all were green. I saved about 20 from the trash, 18 of them turned yellow and were very good.

There is definitely an art to picking mangoes, and different varieties makes a difference. I bought some beverly from a guy in merritt island and these took about 2 weeks to ripen. I was upset thinking he had picked them early, but they turned out to be the best mangoes i had that year

Richard mentioned about Gedong mango from Indonesia. As far as I know ( grew up there) The "Gedong" mango always sold in the market when their skin uniformly turned orange color almost like apricot and more round in shape vs elongated and they are fragrant.

Very nice interview. Mesk (Misk) is actually Arabic for Musk. It is a type of perfume. So I am assuming it is named for its scent or odor. It must have a perfumy odor.

I was so surprised to hear Dr. Campbell say that his favorite mango (off camera) is an Edward. I thought for sure he would have selected the Angie. His explanation makes perfect sense. Great video Paul.

Yes, I can understand that answer. The first good mango I ever ate was Kent so that's a flavor profile I've always had a fondness for.

Richard is off his rocker. 1week to wait for a mango to ripen is usually picked before prime and to late for the best eating quality. He does it that way for bruising and handling issues I am sure. All mango varieties vary but with all of my varieties, the 2-4 days max is best for top quality fruit.

I know he’s a mango expert, but I disagree in regards to ripening mangos. Nothing better than a tree ripened mango. Such as Pickering. I know there are select zill varieties like sugarloaf that should be picked prior to tree ripening so It doesn’t rot, but as a whole, nothing better than tree ripened. You know the fruit got all the nutrients possible.

There's nothing "exclusive" about any fruit unless it is patented.
It looks just like a mango but it is not a mango
