Sir Broadsword Barth can immediately promote to a general and offer a 5 move immortal unit for western isles and early etruria arc. Yes rutger or astolf also never die on the isles and noah makes a better "prepromote" but barth CAN be a net positive which is leagues above anything wendy will ever do

Marcus because it is near impossible to get through the early game without him (on hard mode at least), and Perceval because he can basically solo the late game

Oujay - 20 Fir - 36 I’m just going to point out that Oujay has the bases of 24 HP, 7 Str, 9 Spd, 4 Def, and 8 Con. HM Fir has 25 HP, 9 Str, 13 Spd, 4 Def, and 5 Con. One of these is a lot more usable than the other, and definitely not worth a 16 point gap in Oujay’s favor.

dryzalizer most dancers cant attack, sylvia, lene/layeal, lara, olivia and azura are the onrs that can, but all of them have poor strenght and will do little damage to enemies. They are meant for support, not for combat

I'd say Rutger as number 8 and Melady at 10 is pretty good tbh. Especially when you got so many viable units like Marcus, Allan, Lance and Perceval.

Mangs I just think that they shouldn't be behing Niime and Jerrot and Percival. Rutger's an amazing bosskiller, has great availability, has HM bonuses and he is one of your only units that doesn't suck in the earlygame while having great combat in midgame and lategame. Miledy is a flier, has HM bonuses and carries you from midgame to lategame. Jerrot is good but he is just a worse Marcus, he joins after the toughest part of the game and you'll already better units by then. He's not bad but I don't see how he is better than two units that are godly in combat. Niime is great, she's a staffbot and is the only one worthy of the Apocalypse. Her major flaw is availability, which (in my opinion) is one of the most important aspects of ranking characters. Percival is amazing but I strongly believe that Rutger and Miledy contribute more for your party than him.

Should've given fair rights to Merlinus and let him be a unit. For instance, he can (surprisingly) be a bait/distraction tank in the early game, due to his Dodginess and Sorta bulkiness in the earliest earlies. Treat him like Advanced wars 1's Apc, not for it's true use but it's still useful. I remember in chapter 4 where all the Reinforcements that comes with Rutger attacked Merlinus and he dodged all of them, but Rutger goes anyway for the killshot. That sacrifice saved Wade, Lance and Roy.

Your list seems pretty reasonable, I just noticed one thing. You've tied Lot and Ward, but I would give Lot just the slight edge over Ward because doubling mostly results in more damage than one hit and that defence of his is also fairly good. But that's just me nitpicking

I’d argue that recruitment should be a more important factor for ratings. Yeah Roy is shackled pretty hard but you need him to get clarine, Rutger, jerrot, and shin for all intensive purposes. Sure it doesn’t improve him that much but if you have to choose between two equals if someone is needed to get someone great (say compare niime to clarine) I’d say they are better as that’s a utility that impactful

Honestly I would argue on behalf of 3 characters getting better treatment. 1. Fir has even better bases than Rutger and is easier to level as her low level will let her grow her amazing speed luck and skill to the point that on hard mode she’s most likely capping those stats at level 10. 2. Geese has the best skill growth out of any axe unit and he joins right before you fight a lot of lance units for him to easily hit. His only real problem is without the body ring he will struggle with doubling. Definitely very viable in normal mode but he can get screwed over on hard mode if he doesn’t level speed often. 3. Bartre with an iron bow does the exact same damage as hard mode Klein with his silver bow. And on top of that Barte comes with D rank meaning if you give him a steel bow he can one round almost every flier in the game. Essentially if you look at him as a sniper with access to axes he becomes one of the best counter to wyverns in the game. Overall I’d say geese is a little bit better than you give him credit bartre is actually a pretty good pre promote that’s overshadowed by echidna and fir is definitely one of the best foot units in fe6.

Fir can be good yes , I can’t disagree with that but rutger has a better join time and contributes a lot in the early chapters and will continue to be a serviceable unit throughout the game . If you train fir you get a very similar unit who can do the same thing rutger can . The problem is she doesn’t outshine rutger in any way and joins later . There’s not much reason to train her unless you want 2 sword masters or rutger got stat screwed

"Douglas is pretty useless" That's not true. Douglas saved my ass in that chapter near the end. I sent him over to get berserked,and he was too slow to make it back to my units before it ran out. So i sent him,he got berserked and he recovered before he got to hit any of my units.

Ben Wagner She’s an amazing axe unit , high speed and skill and good enough str , good weapon ranks . There’s nothing amazing about her , she’s just has good stats and weapon ranks . The reason she’s so high is bc there’s a lot of bad units in fe 6 , while I don’t completely agree with mangs she deserves to be up there. Not 11th place like mangs put her , I’d say in the 15th to 20th place range is more accurate

I know that Sophia is garbage due to joining late at level 1 and having bad bases, but has anyone made her decent? Again, she's very bad, but have any of you guys been RNG blessed in her growth departments when trying to use her? On a side note, do you think that Binding Blade's bad units will be remedied in a remake?

You should've seen my Druid Sophia. One-shotting dragons with Apocalypse is such a satisfying feeling.

When I first played binding blade, it was still called sword seals. I didn't know how to recruit Ray, so I just killed him. Sophia was literally my first dark magic user (i played a Chinese translation of binding blade, it would glitch and freeze the game if I attacked a wall or if any units without weapons battled), and when I was younger(sometimes even now), I wanted one of every class, So I trained Sophia. I did arena abuse to make her usable though.

Oh wow, voted for a Dancer over Miledy? That's pretty whack. Obviously you are entitled to you opinions, but Miledy does so much more, so much better than any dancer/bard ever. Bards are good, do get me wrong, excellent in fact, but I will always rate excellent COMBAT units higher.

Dancers are basically like having an extra copy of great combat units. Plus they have flexibility. Need an extra attack? Dance a combat unit. Need an extra heal? Dance a staff. It's defiently debatable and they're not without flaws but more often than not an extra action for your best units is better than an action from a lesser unit.

Hmm... my only problems with the list is that you rated the dancers over Marcus, you rated Ogier abnormally high, you focused too much on Fae's weapon durability, and I feel there were times you rated useless units above thieves, who at least have some utility. Oh, you also rated Merlinus low, despite the fact that he is the best bait unit in the game!

Lillina is underrated, yes, low join level, yes low bases. But her growths (save speed) so if u do baby/grind she can be really good, if all else fails just give her a speedwings, she is also really good bc Lugh can easily get magic screwed

it's 30, not 20 uses and fae is at least a good combat unit who doesn't need much investment, even if you're locked to those 30 uses, she still has more utility than fucking roy
