This will be overturned in a Federal Appeals Court not in a Blue New York Appeals Court. Bragg and the Judge should go to prison for this illegal persecution with no legal standing.

@Matth9254 Bail reform was voted on by NY Assembly and Senate and made into law. Bragg had to follow the law.

@@monarnyc but much of that bail reform in NY was rescinded after it turned out disastrous. As DA, Bragg has tremendous influence and say so as to whether a criminal is released without bail pending trial. Bragg is notorious for giving violent repeat-offender criminals the soft glove treatment, often charging them with the absolute minimal, if charging them at all...this is why many of them are released soon after arrested. It was Bragg that was responsible for releasing those illegal aliens that violently attacked the NYPD in Times Square. He only went after them after a severe backlash and a tidal wave of criticism.

@@bleyb28 I have to disagree with you. The Senate and Assembly wrote a horrible bill. They went back and made some changes the next year. They are talking about doing more changes to the law imho need to be changed. It is just a few committing crimes . But crime in NYC has decreased according to NYPD statistics. Also Bragg is not responsible for many releases it is the underlings. I used to work for a PD, I followed this bill when it eas proposed. I agreed when it was first proposed, because something had to be done. When I read the first Bill I said this is going to be a disaster. Judges hands were tied in what they could do. The problem in my opinion was politicians not consulting with police, judges and others which knew what was going on. I remember one casr where a young man was accused of stealing a bag. He was in jail for a year and come to find out he was innocent. I don't think that Bragg had much influence in Albany as you think. Too many Politicians think they know certain things and rather than consult and learn they jump and act.

NY is the largest city in the nation, it will forever hace more crime than any city in the nation. If you listened to his entire press conference, he mentioned that his staff are getting convictions for other serious crimes in addition to this.
