Manhattan to Newark airport less than $5

Manhattan to Newark airport, Path trains to journal square then Newark train to Newark Penn station, and 62 Bus to the airport. Path trains $2.75 plus 62 Bus $1.60 all together $4.35 less than $5.

There is a much safer way to go. It will cost $15.50. NJ Transit train from Penn Station in Manhattan. Three stops to Newark Airport. 15 minutes. No switching, direct route on a train with conductors. There is NO security on the Path trains and only the driver on the bus. Newark Penn Station is not the safest place in the world and those bus waiting areas can be scary anytime, especially off hours. Your safety is worth an extra 13 or 14 bucks, you're already spending at least two or three hundred for the plane ticket.

And this is DEFINITELY worth the way to reach EWR to and from NYC, CoachUSA's Newark Airport Express is overpriced, and the AirTrain tends to be expensive with train connections sometimes.

That's how I tend to do this as well. The 62 isn't the fastest bus but it's like the most money saving option yet for EWR.

Thanks to this video I went to Newark airport from Manhattan at the end of august 2022, I directly took the NJ train from the World Trade Center, then I took the 62 as the video shows for less than $5. As a foreigner what can I add : -you should always have some cash on you, idk why but my credit card didn’t work, so have your 5 dollars on you. -when I took the 62, no change was given, so try to have $2 or the exact amount. -I took the 62 with my siblings (3 big luggage and 3 small luggage), so you can come with big suitcases, at least for us the driver was ok with it. -however, the 62 bus was ghetto as fuck, sorry but there were crackheads and people with alcohol… You don’t feel in direct danger, but you just don’t feel 100% safe. -To stop the bus 62 at your station, you have to touch that yellow line at the top, there is no explicit « stop » button. -the 62 bus stop at terminal A and B. I paid $127 (tips included of 25%) for the taxi to come from Newark airport to Manhattan but it was midnight in a foreign country. If you can take this path, do it ! You will save lots of money, just don’t go at night maybe and it will be worth it. Might have a man with you if you are women. Thanks a lot for this video !

@@lady33357 it was less or about an hour from my hotel in Manhattan to the airport, but I didn’t wait that long for the 62 bus. You can just look on an app, it will approximately give you the time for the commute.

when buying a one way path ticket at newark penn heading to wtc, do I get charged the 1 dollar surcharge fee? I saw in some video where a white card spits out from the mvm and when you enter the turnstyle, it wont give you back the card.

Yes you can use your regular Pay Per Ride Regular Metrocard at the PATH Train Stations. For the NJ Transit Buses you have to buy the bus ticket or pay with exact change($1 dollar bill, $1 dollar coin and nickels, dimes and quarters) NJ Transit Buses and Trains do not accept MTA Metrocards. Do the transfer at Journal Square so you take the PATH Train to the last stop Newark Penn Station.

Take the A/C to Penn Station and then book a ticket with the NJ Transit train that goes to Newark Airport. It's 15 dollars but the easiest and quickest way since the whole train ride is about 27 minutes. It'll drop you off at the Newark Airport Rail station and your ticket already includes the fee for airtrain and then just take the airtrain to your terminal.
