The thing about these videos is that they are so therapeutic. Its so nice to see people who are enthusiastic about their work and are very interested in the clients problem, not just as a means to earn money but as a challenge to their skill and expertise. And in Jem we get extra information about drain design, repair and horticulture as well. These gentlemen go about their work with that great sense of humour that people from Liverpool are blessed with, and for viewers outside the UK, you won't find anyone funnier than the brits. Just a few thoughts. 👍

@@chrishelms1967 -- I get the whole lot because I've lived here my whole life. One of the things I like best about these videos is trying to figure out the locations. It's helpful that they'll give you a hint as to area. Today they're in Heswall -- a very affluent neighbourhood on the Wirral peninsula, so I don't know the area that well. But when they're in areas that I do know, I'm always trying to figure out which street the house is on.

Hopefully, you read the older comments guys but have you thought of buying the little metal detector wands, there are short handheld ones a few steps up from the ones they use in airports, you may already have them or you might use them once in a blue moon but if it saves walking about with a spade digging up a customers lawn for an hour they will pay for themselves quite quickly if you are looking for a partly buried manhole cover or frame. New to the channel but I'm addicted, my Mrs is always going on about some of the crap I watch on KZbin now instead of watching crap content I now watch good content about crap. out of curiosity, how come you use a shut off wand instead of a hose real with a shut off valve?

That would require 2 person team. Throw the shut off and run to the hose if alone. It's important to control when it activates

Have you ever thought about using a length of three inch plastic pipe, about three metres long, to find the outlet, and then insert the jetter hose into the pipe, switched off at this stage, which will enter the drain. Then, remove the pipe and turn on the water supply.

Being these manholes act almost like a little reservoir and can allow you to continue as normal for a short time with a blockage downstream, I am surprised no one has ever installed a float switch and "high level" alarm as an early warning that you have a problem with your drains before it is anywhere near overflowing... Just a thought🤔
