#TheFBIFiles #TrueCrime #FullEpisode
Season 3 Episode 15: A California man was found dismembered in 1990 and the murder suspect, Danny Ray Horning, was caught six months later as he was robbing an Arizona bank. He was convicted and sentenced to life. But when he escaped from prison, the FBI launched an expansive manhunt for the killer through the American West.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

Not really the case. It is all psychology at play. Most actors used in documentaries and biopics may share a passable likeness or similar characteristics such as build, complexion, facial structure, height, etc. This is why they are chosen to play that role. Add makeup and SFX to the mix and you got a doppelgänger. Furthermore, the audience becomes so captivated by the storyline that they subconsciously project the actor/actress looks onto the real person. I bet most people assume Malcolm X looks like Denzel (not the other way round) or Ali as Will Smith

I was in law enforcement in Northern Arizona at the time, Horning was a major pain in the ass. Media had portrayed Horning as a celebrity, downplaying the threat that he really was, and many people bought it. We were lucky more weren't injured or killed.
@MasterArmedforces

Did it baffle law enforcement why he spent weeks in the same GCanyon area although he had stolen that pickup truck and had that couple driving him around and to the motel?? I would have driven away from there as soon as possible away from the search teams. And, I would have never left those Brit female tourists in the woods. He needed to continue on with them driving him around for as long, and as far away as possible. Or put them in the trunk alive and keep driving for a few hundred miles, then abandon the car. It was way predictable that they would contact the cops after they untied themselves, or be found & untied by a passerby. For a guy who was smart enough to escape in 9 months, that sure was dumb.

@@MasterArmedforces I don't remember now, since 30 years have passed. After his arrest, he spoke of how he enjoyed "toying" with law enforcement. He told us that he was the one that called 911 and reported a specific wildfire, which did in fact occur. But the fire was near a metro-city, and there had been hundreds of calls, he may have actually been one of the callers. But, I agree with you.

Some freak that lived like two blocks from the f.h. shot his former girlfriend and her new beau in her house and then spent the night with a power saw, cutting them up. ~ people who put dogs over humans give me the shits, dogs killed 48 people in the US in 2019, in some of the most gruesome deaths possible, no one even cares...'oh the dog must have been abused, or not trained'...you know, trained not to kill someone, even much loved family pits, oops I meant pets, have been well documented in killing a family member, 100's and 100's of human beings have been killed by dogs in the last 15 years in the US (plus 100's before this latest study) not rabies, mind but horrific cases of canine homicide, ripped to shreds...also the survivors, omg the injuries...missing arms and legs, people scalped, people losing eyes, lips, ears, their nose, one 6 year old girl lost her TONGUE... this cult worship of dogs has made it worse, allowing the family pooch to rule the household...makes it very dangerous, esp. if the dog is a fighting breed, very dangerous indeed

The bullet they pulled from that poor animal helped seal his fate. They were able to prove murder as a result. That poor dog will be in comfort in the afterlife, as they are also made by God, and the scripture says that in heaven the lion and the lamb will lay side by side. I too can't stomach someone being cruel to anything defenseless.. animal or person. But animals lack the strength and Intelligence of a person, so they are sure enough at a unfair disadvantage. This man had all the earmarkes of a serial killer and that poor dog helped to put him away forever. I hope that in the end he has his date with the death chamber!
