The fact that a mall allowed a teen modeling competition that was open to the public with no security to take place on April 1st right after being notified about a serial killer targeting teenage girls at malls pretending to be a photographer sounds like the most twisted April Fools' joke.

Exactly, only to put yourself in a location where nothing but photos are being taken by many photographers only to have your picture taken and placing you at the scene. The behavior doesnt fit the actions and events. Strange that they found a picture of him yet he has no camera or equiptment on him. Doesnt look like someone pretending to be photographer shooting models. Dont worry though the narrator gives a very appropriate description of him.

OMG. The torture. The girl's eyes Crazy Glued shut -- "Hey...kill me first, buddy." (What I'd have said.) OMG. He approached me on an empty beach in Deerfield FL. Thank God there was a group of older men playing games under a shaded picnic area. I walked right past them to sit on the beach. They knew he wasn't with me. He drove up in a classic car with a camera around his neck. Told me to stand up and pose by the water. I told him I was only 5 5 and was too short to model. He was extremely creepy. He stood over me for what seemed like forever and kept looking at the men behind us. I'm certain if those men were not there he would have tried to break my neck right there. He gave off bad evil vibes. He killed in Australia before coming to USA. He had duel citizenship because his dad was a USA military officer and his mom was an Aussie. 60 minutes Australia did a clip on him and his killings in Australia. It's on KZbin. He eventually gave up and left me alone because those men were watching him. A few days later I saw him on the national news. Thank God those men were there. The rest of the beach was totally empty and calm until that asshole showed up.

Sadly in the summer of I believe 1980 I ended up in a car with him. I was 13, VERY street smart, and my Dad had been a cop. Both my friend and I were only 5'0. I had NO use for hitch hiking. We decided to walk to Lake Worth Bch. The moment we turned off 6th ave south on to Dixie hwy a car pulled over an my stomach dropped. As we started to walk passed, I saw all the camera equipment in the backseat (I KNEW what he was up to!!). He offered us a ride, I said no thank you but my friend was clearly clueless. As I was saying NO, she opened the door and said...I'm not walking all the way to the beach if we get a ride. I had to think fast. If I let her go alone I knew for a FACT I would NEVER see her again, If I got in maybe I could get us out of this. I got in n made her sit in the middle putting me next to the door. He lit a joint, I took a "Fake" hit, I acted like I was clueless. He said he was a photographer, and would we consider modeling for him? We were now headed east, I smiled an said Hey would you take some pictures of us in "Bryant Park"?! By this point I was sure my friend realized we were in trouble! He agreed, an I was relieved, but not for long. The park was empty, I looked over at my aunts house no one was around. He took some pic's of us. He literally yanked my friends terry cloth top down for a pic (She had a bikini top on, but she HAD to be scared I thought). When he was done taking pic's I said Thank you for the ride but we can walk from here. But OMG, my friend said....I'm not walking all the way over the bridge. ARE YOU KIDDINGME!!!! Now there was no doubt, and I could not let her go alone knowing I would never see her again. As we walked back to the car, I reached in my purse an with Black eyeliner I wrote his tag number on my pack of Marlboro's. If we DID die, I figured the cops would figure it out. As we approached the top of the bridge he attacked my friend, she was screaming, I sat quietly and just smiled at her, as I was slowly putting my window down (Electric windows thankfully). There was a guy on a bike, but I knew yelling for help was useless, it would take to long for the guy to find a pay phone. So as we approached the bottom of the bridge I begged & Pleaded with God to turn that light Red. He got in the left hand turning lane (Clearly not taking us to the beach). The light turned red, and the car in front of him stopped. We were now surrounded by traffic. I have NEVER jumped out of a window so fast!!! My friend was screaming PLEASE DON"T LEAVE ME HERE!!!! I pulled the door open we played tug of war for a few sec's and at that point he pulled a gun from under his seat. I glared and said go a head n shoot, there are loads of witnesses!!!! He let her go, the sec she was out of the car the light was green an he took off before I could even shut the door. It all happened sooo fast!! He even had the nerve to do a U-Turn an drive by us as I was holding her in the grass. I begged her to let me call the police, but she begged me not to. She said all they will do is treat us like whores. I knew she was right. Several years later I will never forget when his face popped up on the news. However I feel that even if we had reported what happened that day, even with his tag number. It would not have changed history. It was our words against his. It would have just ended up filed away.

I do the same thing. I have to stop and remind myself at times that these aren't some 45 minute show with ?actors and a script to go off of. These are real crimes with real victims and the monsters that are comitting all of these sickening crimes are very real and they look like regular people just like you and I and you most likely won't be able to pick them out of a line up and that's what makes it all even scarier. It could be your next door neighbor or the coworker you work next to every day. So we all have to be mindful of that and can't stress that enough to our children that the boogie man is real but he isn't going to look like some strange creature with wild hair and a mask or with 3 eyes. He's gonna look like one of their teachers at school or the bus driver So they should never talk to a stranger even if they tell them that their mom or dad sent them to get them or that they are good friends with their parents. It's so scary. That this shit happens everyday and all day to people just like us.

Rule #2 is to pay attention to your own and other people's feelings about strangers. Bad Vibes are a real thing! I always figured no psycho was crazy enough to target me (I'm a large man) but it has happened twice in the last couple years. Just like what the survivor at the end describes - a sense that this person was not what they seem and could be capable of great evil (in one case) or were batshit crazy and unpredictable (in the other). Both times they invited me on an innocuous seeming trip... people I did not know at all and had spent less than an hour talking to. Immediate red flags.

25:00 FBI didn't call the local police because they wanted full credit for catching him, didn't even ask a policeman to wait outside by his car, not knowing if the serial killer has a young woman in his room (being raped and tortured) .. it took FBI agents many hours to arrive and they missed him (probably they had coffee and a breakfast after taking a nap) , several women and children got tortured, raped and killed afterward. Also they could have asked en route malls to open only only one or 2 mall main entrance doors and ask a 2 police officers or 2 security guards to stand by the door for the lookout and give out flyers. This TV show fail to show how selfish, lazy and uncaring police and FBI officers.. don't believe everything you hear in these TV programs. Hi! My girlfriend and i met Christopher Wilder in Lockport, NY July 1st, 1983. He stopped at our yard sale..and started talking to us..eventually his conversation led to telling us he did modeling portfolios..and gave us his business cards. I laughed-thinking this was a real good way this man was using a good pick-up line..but he went back to his car(it had Florida plates) and came back with a large photo album-and he started showing me beautiful women he said he'd done modeling portfolios for..Something though-just seemed off bout him-and my friend and i declined his modeling portfolio offers. told us in the course of conversation that he knew the Kenyon family, and was friend with Beth Kenyon...we were living right in town and knew the Kenyon family well-as they had a Kenyon's Variety store around the block from us. Wilder told us he'd been in town to visit them. Wilder then asked us directions to Rochester, and he then headed out. e never thought of him again until 9 mos. later when we heard on TV that Wilder was on a killing spree...was FBI's most wanted and was chasing him-and at that point, he was headed our way into western ny. We were shocked! But realized when we saw his photo on TV-and who he was and his name and that he was suspected of abducting and possibly killing Elizabeth Kenyon-this was the same man we'd talked to 9 mos. earlier. I had actually thought about contacting him about doing a modeling portfolio-as he kept telling me even for a woman in her early 30's(as i was then) i could find modeling work. But, thank d my husband and friends said don't do it-don't call him! Glad i listened.! We found out ilder is the number one suspect in the murder of a girl named Shari Lynne Ball-who was murdered and body placed in a swampy area-near me..and E figure that she was murdered about the same time my friend and i talked to him! She was from Florida and had left last week of June 1983 with an unidentified man-who was going to take her to NY to be a model. She was never seen again. I'm certain-with Wilder talking to me and my friend around the same time hari disappeared, and figured she was murdered..that he was her killer. The MO fit perfectly. My story along with others is in a book on Christopher Wilder that is on Amazon, called, "The Snapshot Killer" by Duncan McNab-a native of Australia and former PD.

It's called a trauma bond. Remember Patty Hearst ? Something happens in our brain after we go through severe abuse and trauma. For some weird reason we become unable to get away. It's not from being weak willed. It's a strange thing. Even a dog will stay with someone who hurts him. Us humans sure have some huge faults. We do things that dont make sense but we often cant help it.

@@slideoff666 Good Question! Contrary to todays mainstream belief the early Christians DID NOT believe that God is almighty. (Btw: The term "almighty" is due to a mistranslation from paleo Hebrew). For them the earth was the place of a constant battle between the good forces and the evil forces. In the original text the New Testament says at James 1:17 that from God ONLY good things come. The early Christians believed the bad things come from the devil. So the legitimate question: "Where was God when these horrible things happened?" is simply answered: He could not prevent it because he IS NOT almighty. The New Testament clearly states that the devil is the ruler of this world (John 12:31, Ephesians 2:2). And so it is. And that´s the reason why the world as a whole is in many aspects so horrible.

What’s remarkable about this crime documentary is that it demonstrates the effects of trauma on the human psyche. But it comes as no surprise to anyone familiar with the covert mind-control programs of the past. According to those studies, it was alleged that complete submission of a subject could be achieved through the inducement of extreme trauma and torture - precisely what happened to this teenage girl. For us, her behaviour is bizarre and incomprehensible; but the trauma and fear that she was subjected to was so profound that her ability to think clearly and exercise reason had been abrogated: she had been rendered as pliable as clay. As for the sociopath, he evinces in the most disturbing and definitive way that the greatest of all threats to mankind is man himself.

2 things: 1: that "emotionally shattered" girl should have jumped into the front seat of that Mercury, turned the damn key and driven that car, herself, the first time she had the chance. And she had two perfectly good chances. First time, she could have driven herself away from that asshole and gotten to safety and to help, and the second, she could have run over the son of a bitch. Actually, three times, if you count when he literally gave her the damn car and told her to follow him. All her "sorries" to the victims he got after she chose to do nothing, when she could have been saving her own life and theirs, don't matter a bit, when those girls are being destroyed by that maniac. And 2: We don't need a big fear-mongering wrap-up at the end, telling us that even though that pos is no longer able to hurt anyone, there's millions more, just waiting to do the same thing. We kinda got it at that point. It wasn't necessary to drill it into people that we are never really safe as we'd like to think we are in this world. There could have been some sort of end discussion about how later technology and collaboration with different agencies makes these goose chases for the bad guys a thing of the past. It's already a sad story with a macabre ending. It's not necessary to pound fear with no hope into people. Other than that, this was a sad, but interesting documentary. Thank you for sharing it here.

I get really tired of all the anti-FBI/police comments on every one of these episodes. Everyone thinks they're some sort of expert on police matters, yet 99% of the time they would have done the same (at best) if not worse than law enforcement did at the time. Obviously they're not perfect, but neither are they terrible. I guess you all live in a dream world where they have a crystal ball and catch the guy within a few hours of the first murder every time 🙄
