No kidding. A shadow dark enough to hide someone would be extremely hard to find and it would mean nearly the entire area is barren dark, just a light within 100 meters would ruin everything. Maybe if the enemies where kind of far, but they get right on your face most of the time.

Cool thing is he’s mentioned in 2001 in GTA 3 for being corrupt but getting away with it, before manhunt even happened and came out, in 2003. Also, remember cash was already put on death row before. He was nationally known as a criminal. Even if he weren’t, people oughtta have known it was him killing half the gangsters in town, and they’d have to take him to jail for that, until the judge would’ve probably resolved that it wasn’t his fault

I mean just because the chief was corrupt, doesn't mean the rest of them were. There was probably a good few who thought they were just hunting for some serial killer or weren't filled in on details. Honestly alot were just doing their job, and it's kinda tragic that they're slaughtered in place of their crooked chief. Most of them could've been decent ppl.

If you listen to some of their dialogue, most of those cops just got called in the middle of the night for an extra shift. They didn't knew they were trying to hunt down Cash or the journalist.

The only other game that came close to manhunt for its dark atmosphere and lonely gameplay with a kind of sad desperate feel to it and the need to “slug on” and carry on playing was the suffering, it’s very similar and it’s a bit depressing. Manhunt however is just more ruthlessly gory
