When I bought my Stihl Trimmer 8 years ago I "upgraded" to the stihl speed feed. That head made me hate that trimmer for years. It would never advance, one line would break and the other wouldn't. One side of the line would advance, but the other wouldn't. I took it back to the dealer multiple times. They gave me 3 or 4 new heads under warranty, but they were all garbage. Then a few years ago I put the echo speed feed on it. What a difference that made!

I just purchased the ECHO Speed Feed 400 this past weekend for my ECHO trimmer. I agree, it's great! Best $29 spent in a long time. Did have to go to KZbin though to figure out how to switch the inner part of the head with the included parts. (I have a GT 225 and had to make adjustments since it is a curved shaft). Very easy once I watched it on KZbin and everything was included. Great product!

@thebeardedgolfer98195 жыл бұрын
Decent looking work my friend. I am 35 years in the biz myself with years of golf course experience. If there were string trimming world rankings I feel I would be in the top ten. A couple of things I noticed. You seem to often be shooting the trimmings into the gardens and onto the driveway away from the lawn rather than onto the lawn to be either sucked up or chopped up by the mowers. Shooting the trimmings onto the lawn saves weeding the eventual results in the gardens and saves blowing trimmings out of the garden and stressing the plants. A rule of thumb I suggest for those who don’t have 10000 hours and hand/wrist/arm muscle experience on a trimmer is if you struggle too control the string trimmer head on the horizontal and vertical cuts is to walk backwards while trimming, pulling the head using the left near portion of the string orbit the horizontal trim and bottom to rear portion of the string orbit on the vertical edging(left hand handle right hand trigger throttle, counter clockwise rotating machines like the one you show in the video). It takes longer this method, but the results I know you are looking for will be much easier to attain. Let me know if that helps if you get around to trying the methods. Happy mowing from The Bearded Golfer!

@stukaman11625 жыл бұрын
Then why stop at three birds? Why not a dozen - in circles around the trees and scattered in the shrubs? To follow this line of reasoning, you should be spit-polishing that trashy trio of pink plastic peckers and illuminate them with stage lights so even more people will drive by and say, "Look at the bir... and oh, yeah, the lawn." What you're doing is equivalent to painting zits on a Cindy Crawford portrait so more people will notice her. Methinks you've inhaled a wee too much Round-up, pal.

I don't want to say trimming is easy, but its like the force, you have it or your trimming looks like this 1:25 ^^^^^ lol. gator X line .105mm is amazing line, clear with carbon is really nice line too for thin cutting (HIGH RPM ONLY) think about trimming as if there's a big upside down plate you use to bend around to make a nice cut, angles are everything! one straight almost stiff arm uses the bends of the handle to keep the tool stable if you are tucking motor correctly, as if you're leading a lady in a dance, its all in the hips man! You now bare my landscape babies. Its the way of the dance....
