JDB really did have a ludicrous amount of stuff to manage/remember when playing live. It's like reciting Nietzsche while playing Appetite for Destruction at 8000 mph. What a front man he is.

Apparently just a day or two before this performance he'd found out an old university mate of his had committed suicide. So I'd assume he was still processing that at the time of the show and that's why he's so distant and hidden away at the back.

I remember at the time that he was plugged in for Naked City, just not for this 'Butt Naked' performance. It actually sounds ok now, at the time i was really disappointed. +Jimmy Pop t.v. re: Richey playing... nicely said and agreed. It makes me smile when you can hear him playing. And one ( of many ) things that I admire about Richey was that he was always honest about the fact that he could not play very well, but tried his best. His honesty in general was so attractive. Gawd dayum, I miss Richey so much. Such a sweet and pure soul. I hope one day he comes back, but regardless, I mostly just hope that he is happy, where ever he may be...

I think he is or would have been depending on your opinion 47. He remains an icon to me and always will with his combination of beauty and fervent intelligence. A true one off and a softly spoken genius. I hope he is somewhere out there reading Rimbaud or the beats but if i am to be realistic then i`m afraid i cannot see this being a realistic scenario...........But.
@janekatalane56539 жыл бұрын
+Jimmy Pop t.v. thanks for the reply and I echo your lovely sentiments about Richey. It's cool to come across someone who feels the same way I do about him. I hope as well that Richey is somewhere out there... enjoying a more low key kind of life perhaps... out of the spotlight and doing all the things that he enjoyed... like writing, reading, being surrounded by dogs, etc... However, as much as it pains me to think about, I do realize this may not be a possibility at all. But, at the same time, I will never give up hope that one day his family, band mates, friends and fans will know what happened, one way or another... Cheers to ya again, Jimmy Pop!... And thank you Martin McAvinney for uploading this brilliant footage!...
