In the main riff James plays the last bar all on the G string. The second chord in the verse/chorus is the same as the first but the 7th fret on the a string just moves one fret down to the Eb

Great playing, but James Dean Bradfield plays the song at different places on the neck to you, particularly the ascending motif that runs through the song. It makes a difference to how it sounds when you compare the different ways to play the same notes.
