I want to build a time machine and go back to the days when you could go out and see a band in a crowded, sweaty cesspit club. More and more these days I find myself thinking that the 1990s were the high point of western civilisation and I want to be back there again...

I managed to see them a few months later and this is how they were. I was 15. It was a school night. I had tinnitus for three days. I think it was £6. Unforgettable.
