My the lads are getting old 😢I remember Nick used to jump about the stage mad playing that song. Will always be one of the important bands in my life. I do love that Sean looks like the bloke that turns up at your house to repair your boiler.

I was there cheuffuer back in the day. For 3 years. ( I was driving them the M4 when if you tolerate this hit the top ten. And it was playing on the car radio. Great people, great music and great memories.

@@kevincoakley5197 they were my best friends favorite band at school. He died when he was 19, so hearing design for life or if you tolerate this takes me straight back to listening to the tapes of theirs we bought. I'm so glad they were decent people.

@@stuartcarden1371 AHH bless, sorry to hear that, when I hear tolerate it takes me back too. I split from my ex at that time but having them in my company took my mind off my personal problems. They really are nice guys and I feel honoured to have worked with them for all that time. I do see James and Nicky from time to time and we have a nice chat about those times.im sure your friend will be proud of you that you still carry his memory with you after all this time. So you should be proud of yourself my friend.

OMG, this is absolutely brilliant. I love it so much! 💕. In the 1990s I was a huge Manics fan and bought all their albums. Even got to see them live in 2007 and was blown away! It's great to see that as more mature men, they are still making music and are every bit as good, if not better, than their younger versions! 💖🎶

Top form and a big relief having seen them on their last tour to support RIF at Motorpoint which has never done them any favours as a venue, I thought MSP had become jaded, predictable and were just going through the motions. This measured, very slightly understated but passionately intense performance highlights the fact that JDB is one of the best vocalist/ guitarist/ tunesmiths Rock music has ever produced, that Sean is the engine /driving force - his drumming is inspired here, you can tell he means business, consequently it's right on point and elevating the song to new levels...and Nicky is the lyrical genius whose apparently care-free presence nurtures the song along as though it was his own love-child, caressing it till it smiles with exuberance supported by a melodious, rhythmic and yearning bass playing even Peter Hook, Adam Clayton or Simon Gallup would appreciate and admire. MSP stay hungry like the wolf and keep it up.

Wow, well put. I shall mention you and what you wrote to them next time I see them. And yes they do talk about there fan's. So much so that Nicky will board a train (to my annoyance) just to sign autographs. They are REAL nice guys and I feel honoured to have worked with them.

There are many bands who lip synch to studio recordings. The Manics never do and always sound amazing even after all these years. A number one album over 20 years later is testimony to that fact that they are a great band.

Double edged sword.. he is less shouty/barky these days , but then who can keep up that kind of style live throughout their career because its bound to catch up and strain the vocal cords eventually. The beauty of it is...is that he can sing properly thank god and moving forwards we will hear more of that side of him.. hark back to This Is My Truth and Lifeblood when many started thinking they were getting bland and boring...no they weren't, they were maturing and getting better musically in a melodic sense and JDB sang beautifully on both albums.
