OMG! Shelly, I had my first baby at 42! I know you said you'll be 43. That's so exciting. I had my 2nd baby at 44. Married my (ex) husband at 37, but after losing a baby the first year, couldn't get pregnant for a number of years. Someone suggested taking Geritol Complete and I finally had two within 18 months of each other. Also, I stopped worrying about it and accepted that I may not have a child. I can totally relate to all that you're talking about. Staying in relationships because you think it's your only chance. The only thing that hurts me is that people always think I'm the grandmother. God, thank you Shelly! I can't believe I drove myself into a depression because I wasn't pregnant by 27. I was seriously convinced that my window was rapidly closing and I was still single at the time and felt hopeless. I kept looking for answers outside of me aNd they all said "fertility drops rapidly after 30, so hurry up!" "Your most fertile days are before 25, so good luck!" Ugh! There is a lot of misinformation about female fertility and I believe a lot is misogynistic in nature. They push women to motherhood early and to not focus on other goals or make them feel guilty for focussing on other goals and adding fear. It was even on the news where I live not too long ago that in your 30's and healthy, there shouldn't be too many problems to conceive naturally. And of course pregnancy in 40's is totally possible, even long before fertility treatment was even a thing. I know many women who conceived later in life and had kids in their 40's and never questioned it. I feel like these days women are constantly harassed with the push to have kids early and I think it adds to many of the problems women even in their late 20's and early 30's are experiencing. That's why, for a lot when they give up, it happens naturally. They let the fear become their reality until they let go of the desire or go the adoption route and it happens naturally for them after all. It really matches with the manifestation ideas. Also don't forget that fertility treatment is big business with lots of money tied to it. They use fear mongering to get women to feel pressured into going that route thinking freezing their eggs etc, is their only chance. Weirdly though, as much as we constantly hear about female fertility issues, we hear little about mens. Even though the reason ppl visit fertility clinics is 50/50 due to an issue on the mens side as it is due to an issue on the womans side.

Well done Shelly, for being a proponent of fertility in women over a certain age. Too often women who are over 35 are completely written off as 'Being too old' which is absolute nonsense. In fact in my experience women who become mothers in their late 30's or early 40's generally tend to handle it better. Many many congratulations sweetheart! 🥰😇

My Mom had me at 39. But she didn’t get married until she was 36 & had my older sister a year later. Yes, they term later pregnancy as “ Geriatric Pregnancy “ because of the later age of the mother. It’s not that you aren’t fertile, but incidents of birth defects go up with age. I, myself, was born with that bifid uvula, which means I have two in the back of my mouth & speak with a slight nasal sound. Google that. 😉 The doctor termed me a “ Change of Life Baby”. My husband and I were never able to have kids. When I told him the process was that he needed to go first for a Sperm count, he never brought the subject of having kids up again. I’m now 59 in July so that train has left years ago.

@@NatalieG427 Sorry to hear that. I will say though the bifid uvula can occur at any age & I suspect was attributed to your mother's age all those years ago like most defects, unfortunately. Rest assured, we are more aware now that not every defect in babies is on account of their mother's age. Certainly most of the babies I've come across born to mothers > 35 years of age have all been fine 😊 Take care of yourself 🙏

I totally agree with you and I’m sure you’ll have a smooth pregnancy- doing everything mentally and physically that you should. I had my second child at 41- 7 years after my first and I remember a nurse acting like it was such a gap and that I might have issues. I had absolutely no difference between the pregnancies. I also went through menopause at age 48 with no symptoms- none. I’m 67 now and still feel youthful- exercising, eating healthfully etc. The video with your husband was so heartwarming and it brought tears of joy to my eyes. What a lovely sharing!

Right there with you. I suffered through a breakup at 37. Wasn’t ready to date someone new til 39. Just ended that at the age of 41. I’ve been knowing I will have a kid. And in the 3D I simply am taking care of my body. Any delays in meeting my person and it all coming together are just things aligning for the right person. I have a core belief that things in my life (career, etc) happen in the 11th hour. So I think this is just the same.

I know which actress you are referring to. But truth be told no one actually saw her preggers and there's speculation she may have conceived via surrogacy or adoption. Even if we give the benefit of the doubt regarding her pregnancy at that age, not many other women are as successful and well off as her to afford to maintain this type of pregnancy or raise a young child when older. That's not to say manifestation doesn't work..but perhaps older women (including myself) can be open to manifesting a family through other means like adoption/fostering instead. Mature age pregnancy is really no joke from what I have seen from older relos.

This is 100% and I've had this exact experience almost...from the relationship and just sadness...etc.and I also think collectively it's frowned on, even by most women with children. That age is ur doom as a woman. I’ve always had this belief maybe not in the past, but certainly for the last good few years. It probably helps that nearly all my friends were over 40 when they got pregnant and they all got pregnant very easily mostly by accident and had perfectly normal pregnancies. I think that’s what you get when you live in a big city. I’ve just not really got any doubt if I want to get pregnant in my 40s I will but I I was at a wedding yesterday and the bride and friends was late 30s and all the people had all these massive fears and negative stories that it’s all over in their late 30s and would be exceptional to be. I’m so thankful not to live in all that negativity. I’ve actuality never ever taken birth control.

It's beautiful what you said about getting in tune with our cycles. Always did that, never been on birth control in my life and never will. There are so many wonderful books to read. Periods are not just physical events, they are a path to spiritual and emotional growth too if we know how to work with them. I recommend Red moon by Miranda Gray, Period repair manual by Lara Briden and Period power by Maisie Hill. Everyone should read them

In the back of my mind I also struggle with the fertility question and it, unfortunately, makes me stressed out about when I will get my SP and etc. But I do find the discipline to pull myself back and stay focused on my SP and the fact that no matter what, I will get my SP and that I will have babies with him. I'm 43. Overweight and single. I was also divorced by 39. My fertility level is really low (apparently I'm not ovulating), so I'm doing all that I can to reverse that. I'm so happy for u both. You are still young u certainly don't look your age. Its very sad that we are programmed thinking after a certain age its nearly impossible to conceive naturally from medical doctors and society giving us little hope after 40 s and beyond of ever becoming pregnant naturally. I have friends of mine who were told they would not be able to conceive and they did all in their 40 s. I have put motherhood on hold and now I'm at an age where according to society I would not conceive but I believe strongly I will conceive twins which I'm manifesting it feels very naturally to me I am very healthy and a youthful energy. We are all on different journeys I think motherhood comes at the right time. As Neville Goddard says something like' your desire wants you." So anything we truly desire is meant for us.

I was 42 when I had my son, it happened so easily and completely naturally.. as soon as I came off the pill I got pregnant… just so you can hear the positive side of things.. I totally believe if I wanted another 2 or 3 children I could… and I’m 44 now..

Shelly, you are one of a kind. You are the best teacher because you truly walk the walk. Every aspect of your life you have manifested, and I am so grateful that you share it all with us. I must be missing something because I am not able to manifest deliberately even though I have been studying for over 10 years. Both of my pregnancies, I tried for awhile and they only manifested after giving up (letting go) . I tried for a 3rd pregnancy and was never able to manifest it. I had two boys and wanted to try for a girl. I truly did give up now because I am 51...LOL Actually, everything I manifest is because eventually I end up letting it go. So when you talk about just knowing, it doesn't seem to work that way for me. It's only when I let it go that I manifest anything. So I'm not sure if I should focus on believing it or letting go!?!?!

You have to make sure that you aren't "grasping" or "needing" the outcome (which is lack). When I KNOW something is going to happen, I have complete certainty WITHOUT needing it to happen. That might be the difference.

Yes, just keep believing in yourself and believing in your body. Creating a loving relationship with your body in which you feel like you are on the same team (instead of against each other... just in case that's sometimes how you feel). And also do a lot of manifesting that "my body is healing... my body is in perfect condition, etc"

Happy Mother's Day! I read your e-mail. I was so moved. My mom and I don't have anything in common. We often have disagreement. She became pregnant when she was 30. Thirty years old young women and noone is perfect. My brother is 7 years younger than I am. I didn't like the way she treated me. I couldn't forgive that "Tiger mom" for many years. I heard that raising children and work can be hard. I am thankful for things she did for me.

I have even been to a therapist because I have been so triggered by all the pregnancies and babies around me. For the first time, this was something helpful for me. I am thirty yo but for me it has been mostly circumstantial. I have had tendencies to get into relationships where my partner has wanted to put off starting a family until later.
