The PhD that first spoke of the benefits of red light years ago, now deceased, said two red 250 watt halogen lamps from Home Depot do the job. Super cheap forget the big expensive lights
@JoshuaYoung28 ай бұрын
This isn't a 100% solution -> Light Wavelength: Red light therapy panels use LEDs that emit specific red and near-infrared (NIR) light wavelengths, typically around 660nm and 850nm, which are believed to be therapeutic. Halogen lamps emit a broad spectrum of light, including some red light, but not at the concentrated and beneficial wavelengths needed for red light therapy. Light Efficiency: Halogen lamps waste a lot of energy generating heat and light across the spectrum. Red light therapy panels use LEDs which are much more efficient at producing the specific red and NIR wavelengths for treatment. Safety: Halogen lamps can get very hot, potentially burning skin. They may also emit some ultraviolet (UV) light, which can damage skin cells. Red light therapy panels are designed for safe use on skin.

They always do this. How difficult would it be to take photos in the same room but no; here's me in London and here's me in Hawaii 😎 Also the way he talks about the numbers of LED matters; LED have a long lifespan with a proper power supply. You're only going to use this thing for 5 minutes a day. A regular light bulb from IKEA lasts years being on for 16 hours a day. If anything this thing powering 1800 LED's without a good power supply would cause it to last shorter. And the whole thing about uniformity...I don't know, it's a flexible panel that you move around, I think 300 LED's for your face alone is enough unless each LED only covers a very tiny area like 5mm. I think this is paid promotion but presented in a sneaky non-sponsored way.
@MitoRedLight8 ай бұрын
Hi - this video is very well done. One correction we would make - it is is not necessarily true that the more LEDs there are the longer they will last. LED chip efficiency depends on a large number of factors including: the class of compound semiconductor used to make the LED, the structure (doping, thickness, composition) of the semiconductor layers in the LED chip, electrode/contact design, light extraction structures added or created during fabrication of the LED chip, operating temperature and the current density. Current density is the amount of current per unit area of the LED chip. Of these factors, the most significant is the class of compound semiconductor used to make the LED chip. Furthermore, LEDs in panels like ours use focusing lenses (also increases efficiency) and are typically driven much lower than their maximum (25%-50%) - minimizing heat creation to help ensure longevity. The bottom line is that there are several variables involved in the LED package and panel design, which will determine efficiency and longevity. If you've enjoyed the benefits to your skin, we'd suggest trying a more full body setup! All the best - Team Mito

Like read a book in a gazebo? Won't you be exposed to the same red light? After all, white light comprises all the colors. And if you want more information on red light therapy for anti inflammation/pain reduction, Google Rhonda Patrick Red light therapy. Interesting $1800 device to provide convenient at home treatments taking only 5 to 10 minutes multiple times per week (makes it easy to reliably do treatment) Vs Clinics charge $25 to $150 per session, not counting travel time to/from clinic and wait time at clinic. (More likely to skip treatments when you get busy.) Plus can share device with spouse or family member. LED’s should last years. But there are much lower cost units that still work. Infrared is not the same as near infrared(NIR) or red light. It's a different wavelength. If you want these effects, you need NIR and red wavelengths.

Best informative video yet. Started researching years ago for cfs and body pain. Been using a hard heavy panel many years. Helps heal many things helps with pain and for my face at near 70 hardly wrinkled. No kidding. Good genes helped tho not just the lite and good facial care my whole life. No smoking and no sun on face without cover. But like you the face is fuller and skin healthy and am very happy with results. Use the same spectrum of red lite and the white lite. 880 and 660. Thanks. You look better then when started.

I found a red light cap for hair growth and began using it a few weeks ago. Obviously it is too soon to tell if it will help with hair growth but on the nights I use it, every other night, I sleep like a baby. It said to start with 5 minutes and work to 20 but I got the sleep benefit the very first night. I will continue to use it even if i don't have any hair growth. The cost was only 150. and I agree, try a cheaper one, you might be surprised. Not everyone can afford to spend a thousand on a light, even though we would love too.

I just bought the panel you used in your first RLT video! Was that one too strong for your face? Noticed it's more than 100mw. If so do you suggest I don't shine it on my face? Thanks!
@manikmadaan9 ай бұрын
You can definitely use it on your face as the power decreases with distance, so it's safe. Make sure to use it at least 6-9 inches away from you. It's great for full body red light rejuvenation. The one I am currently using for my face is for anti aging facial + hair benefits.

@@manikmadaan Thanks for the tip! I think I'll try this panel out and if it works really well, will check out the flexible panel for the face as well. It's not cheap though! xD

If you are already young & healthy you may not feel alot of difference... But coming from a point of aging, pain and illness, you may feel dramatic improvements. It is very effective.

Hi. Loved ur video & experience. I have tried Red Light Therapy for whole body after cryotherapy. I’m am 53 yr old black woman who is feeling the effects of full & loose face skin, body fat 40lbs heavier since steroids for allergies/asthma. I am in a lot of body pain. I stopped working out exhausted, work in medical field, sleep disturbances because of hormones & I hardly go out in sunlight, perimenopause, left knee surgery. I am trying to revamp my life: diet, exercise, etc. which red light therapy do u recommend for overall health & to bring back some energy/regeneration for inflammation, collagen regeneration, & energy fir a woman my age. Thank u for your consideration.

If a red light Mfr claims it works for hair loss, the 3 lettered agencies may shut them down. I use a $99 tendlite, 3 times a day for 2 minutes each and YES IT DOES WORK FOR HAIR GROWTH. I have been doing this for 3 years and it is hard to believe but it doesn't happen overnight. When I first started, I really didn't think it would work so I only did on one spot on my head. After about a year, I said, holy crap, this actually works and I had to start doing the middle of my head and my back bald spot. So now I am at a total of 6 minutes a day per in 3 locations for a total of 18 minutes. There is 100% chance this is true and works, at least for my 66 year old head.

Try sunlight on the back of your head and neck. It contains all the wavelengths mentioned in the video, and it's free. Seems to have helped a CFS patient I know. Just be careful not to get too much UV light - you can look up the UV index for where you live on the internet.

The number one thing that will help with that is SLEEP. THE most important thing when it comes to health. It cannot be overstated enough how important it is. Secondly, mentality. Fill your brain with positive thought. Reduce stress as much as possible. Eat clean and cut out sugar. I struggled with Fibro (/CFS) for 4 years. It snatched my life away. Went from an avid gym goer to bring bed bound for the majority of FOUR YEARS. The past 3 months, from doing the things I said, I’m a whole new person. I’m even starting to work out more and more each week. (Still nowhere near able to do a proper work out, but the progress is observable week on week and I WILL be 100% right again, soon :)
