When people say “po” at the end of their sentence it’s to my understanding like a respect thing. You say it to someone older or someone you show respect to. Like “enjoy your food, po” if that makes sense ✌️❤️
@charlesr.8159Ай бұрын
Correct. Koreans and Japanese also have a similar concept.

Yes, it's a sign of respect. Much more so for someone older than you. A lot of Asian countries have that kind of honorific way of speaking depending on who you're talking to.

Exactly, we filipinos say "po" to show respect to every person we want to respect especially if they are an important person 😅, we also often use this to elderly people and even our parents, brothers, and sisters.

@@micahestep7679 depression is an enemy that kicks its victim more viciously even when he's already down. I doubt meds could have saved him. What he really needed was someone who understood his struggles, his battles. Someone who faced the same enemy and managed to defeat it. I'm saying this because i too suffered through the same depression bouts. I only managed to pull through because i managed to share my thoughts and concerns with a good friend who was full of wisdom and with an open mind.

The guy who offered the crabs missed the opportunity because of the language barrier. Just an FYI, "Gay Crabs" are quoted because they have a weird abdomen shape. They are not male, nor female, so people call them a third gender, which is gay. This type of crab gained popularity because it has many crab fats that Filipinos love. It's what you would like to buy in the market if you want to cook crabs.

We also have a bunch of dishes that have both protein and vegetables like Sinigang, Tinola, Kare-Kare, Bulalo, etc...
