Beautiful video and well filmed. I’m from Australia and I have walked these streets and seen these poor many times during the past forty years and I was here last in July 2023. I usually stay at the Eurotel Hotel Opposite Robinson Mall in Ermita ! These people are the friendliest people in the world.

So true I first was in ermita over 25 years ago and haven these people and felt for them. also do you remember Rosie's dinner and swagman hotel.
@100DOLLARCAMERA5 ай бұрын
@@joelmonkley6177Yes, 1427 MH Del Pilar, Rosies dinner on the corner, BLue Hawaii, Hula Hut and the Congress hotel upstairs. Swagman, the attic in hotel around the corner from the sundowner and opposite the church. Ah things have changed so much there but not the street people who I have seen many times with my trips to the Philippines, since 1981. In my latter years I have taken my wife’s and two daughters clothing and given it to the street people, along with tooth brushes and paste from Australia.

Very educational. The dignity, demeanor, pride, spirit and community that the urban homeless display is very heartfelt. The American homeless could learn a lot from these people. God help and bless all of them.

Exactly same sentiments here. Thanks for watching. Our homeless here in the US (am in LA) is bad. @jamesmorgan

On one of my trips to Pinas I stayed in Binondo. I used to talk to a homeless family when on my way to Tutuban mall. Such a nice family they were. He was telling me they had fallen on hard times but were still together as a family and he said he would never give up hope for the sake of his family. When I watch these type of videos I sometimes wonder how they are

It would seem like former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s Clean Up Manila initiative got the boot soon after his term ended.
@The_Street_Videographer Жыл бұрын
But I was told they were there already since many years ago, even before Isko took power. I even saw policemen hanging out in the same area. Some even buying food from street vendors in the area. So they are seen for sure and TOLERATED. 🤔

This homelessness is very different from the West. Out homeless are 90 percent drug addicts where in the PH there are children homeless. There are no children homeless in the West.

You mentioned that their “life is so unkind” and I disagree with that. One’s life can be unkind even when life is lived in a mansion or a palace. These people here are happy regardless of what life has thrown at them. Contentment I think is one factor that we humans learn to adapt to be happy regardless of what our life situation is.
