Beware. This flight is always full. PAL performs their own security checks which ALWAYS delay the departure time. If the 777 aircraft is in for maintenance, PAL will use an Air Bus 330 as an alternate. This means the flight will have an immediate refueling stopover in Seoul which takes an additional three hours. If you have a connecting domestic flight at LAX you will miss it. Note: NEVER book an international flight that has a domestic connection. This will cause so many head aches, like having to get your bags, go through Border Protection and recheck your bags. Just don't do it, no matter how cheap the flight is.

How's s the stop in Seoul? I just got a message that our flight will make a stop in S. Korea. And which domestic flight did you take before that? How many hours was the gap supposedly?

I booked on PAL. First leg Chicago to Los Angeles. 2nd leg, PAL, LAX to MNL. Return Flight, PAL, MNL to Seoul, Seoul to LAX, LAX to Chicago. Since I had the domestic connection at LAX I was required to get my bags, border inspection and re-check my bags. NEVER GET A DOMESTIC CONNECTION ON AN INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT. If you live in Detroit, fly out of Chicago. Find a direct flight where you don't have any US domestic connection.

for me the past 3 flights from LAX to Manila and vice versa i was always getting stuck between bigger passengers (im a small guy btw) and im not getting alot of space to sleep/eat - so the next time i fly PAL it will be in either Premium Economy or Business Class

What it didn't highlight is the shabby cubby hole Business Class louge in the new terminal. It's a hole in the wall(literally) that can house no more than a dozen people and limited food dishes. Worse than any 3rd world countries.
