When I first got this I was sad having many problems. The stamper would not pick up the image completely and sometimes not at all. I used everything the way it says I should like in the video. Even when using the stamping polish. But I believe I have found my problem and now have no problems working this! I was in a big open room, no fan on. But the fact it’s an open room with drafting from the connecting rooms passing by and with the sun was coming in, the air was very cold was also a problem. Just as I was gonna send it back cuz I got soo many things I tried one more time. This time in a closed room no draft and room temperature not cold or hot, closing the blinds! And just like that problem solved! It’s amazing and looks fantastic! Easy to use haha now that I do it in a closed room that’s at room temperature and no sun light hitting in. I’d recommend this to anyone with the same problem I had.
@Maniology2 жыл бұрын
Oh that's good to hear! Working in a room that's too hot or cold or in a direct draft of air can speed up the polish drying process, which can be a reason you are having trouble picking up and transferring stamps on to your nail 😅

I'm so glad I'm a read everything before doing anything kinda girl. My 1st instinct was to remove the hard plastic from the metal card. I'm so glad I took the time to read the Starter Kit Stamping Guide & scan the QR code. I know nothing about stamping. I just saw an ad with cats, art & nails for $5 in the middle of the night & ordered. 😅 I'm so glad this is actually a legit company!!! I had very little confidence that I'd actually recive anything, but I'm glad I took a chance on a social media advert. I'm even more thrilled to see it seems to be minority owned & operated. I hadn't planned to purchase many other supplies from Maniology, but I'm more comfortable doing so now that I've seen your face & how much work you all have put into instructions. As someone from a family of educators I highly value that. You've also done a wonderful job with packaging & plan to keep my kit stored in its box. I've been binging your videos & they're quite enjoyable. I'll have to order some more acetone as mine contains lavender, vitamin e & grapeseed oil. Is your topcoat quick dry?

I actually came to KZbin to try to solve the problem that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the stamper to pick up the image. After watching several videos, I figured out two issues I was having (and therefore other people might have): 1) When scraping off the excess polish, I was initially scraping it so the extra polish ended up on TOP of the card (like a snow plow). It took watching the videos to see that it should have been kept under the card. This was much better at leaving the right amount of polish in the design. 2) When it didn't work the first time, I kept trying to stamp with increasing pressure. Someone offhand mentioned that you need to use light pressure with the stamper on the plate to get the image to transfer. Seemed a bit counterintuitive, but that was absolutely true in my experience.
@Maniology2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing your experience! We recommend to apply more polish than you think you need (covering the entire design) and scrape lightly. Removing too much polish too forcefully can affect your pick up. Then roll the stamper lightly over the design. When there are issues with stamping, we recommend going lighter rather than harder which most people tend to do when they are having issues. 🥰😉

Tiana, this video may be 2 years old but it one of the most important. I purchased the COFFEE plate and for the life of me I could not pick up the image. So I looked at a few of the Maniology videos but it still didn't work. I then went to this particular video 101 and BAM if I didn't get that coffee word image. Like nothing it came right onto the stamper and on to my nail. I was so exciting. Thank you and I will be practicing along with the video until its second nature 🙂

I saw the designs and bought a half dozen plates-not for stamping my fingernails but for some other art projects-some of the designs I seem to remember from way back when and thought I would try to transfer to copper or silver or brass even . I know they were not meant for that, but I was thinking the designs could be etched onto jewelry-again, copper for starters. I will let you know how well it turns out. So I assume I need silicone to start with, and some polish and not much more. Thank you for your video! Much appreciated!
