Actor Randeep Hooda visited Relief Camp at Moirang Lamkhai and Sendra Tourist Resort in Manipur. Earlier, ‘Sarabjit’ fame announced that he will tie knot with Lin Laishram, a Manipuri model and actress. Ahead of the wedding, the couple visited the relief camps set up for victims of the ethnic clashes between the Kuki and Meitei tribes in Manipur. The wedding will be done with the rituals of Meitei culture on November 29 in Imphal. It will be followed by a wedding reception in Mumbai on December 2.
Randeep Hooda said, “I felt that it is respectful to come and marry in the Bride’s tradition…. I have heard that in Meitei culture, the groom has to sit for very long hours….but I am very excited to experience the culture of my life partner…”

Randeep Hooda is a rare breed of human beings! Unlike many other 'Great Indians' who chose to go to Italy or Turkey for their wedding, chose to not only do it in India but close to our heart in Manipur! Seeing the Meiti-Kuki turnmoil I feel so sorry that situation only got bad. I hope peace returns and prevails in Manipur.

We see a lots for praises how the Meitei culture looks beautiful. Being a Meitei, I thank you and wish a successful happy married life to both the stars. Meitei are the last Sanatani in Manipur unfortunately we feel like being seized in the moment limiting us to the Valley. In the name of political correctness people were quite during Kashmiri Pandits exodus, and seems like the history is repeating for the Sanatani in North East.
