As a Christian, I must admit this view of our creation is very bizarre to me. Over and over again, I have been told God needs nothing, he doesn't need us, but he created us for...reasons. I am not a mere dabbler in Christianity, but I have never been given a proper motivation for why God did what he did in Genesis. I admit the Rabbi's explanation does make sense, but it seems there is no place for it in any version of Christianity I have yet discovered. Though it would be very interesting to bounce such ideas off of people who are far more educated and fluent in Christian ways than me. (Edited for typos.)

Did you know that we do not follow the teachings of your religion? Nor will we ever. Whether you (and others) like or believe it ir not you have been taught a lot of things are inaccurate that can't be reconciled with the truth. Torah is truth. G-d's truth. There is no other truth. Truth doesn't have versions or perceptions. It is absolute. These 'ideas' as you call them are from thousands of yesrs ago. Nothing new to 'bounce' and see if they "work" for people. That would not be the truth.

A simple way: I think of it like if you grid space. Everyone has things in their lot in life that might include a black hole (something that sucks) some bright spots.. some dull rocks.. how far you go to obtain or see a light from your territory .. or move to circles that rotate around or with others.. but along any which way you look .. There is light along the way.. even if it means waiting/weighting Through What appears dark and cold to reach next light sources.. and that within that area of space.. there are people who need inspiration.. advice, guidance.. a dual.. some opposition.. which can transform someone elses space or lot on life to include ur light.. I imagine shooting stars arent dying.. they are relocating to somewhere that needed them so much it Drew them away to Be seen as a hero you “wished upon” .. there is no gravity in space.. no air.. If you consider each person in their space.. like a Petrie dish .. your adding or taking away .. but sometimes taking from an area thats way bright.. can be just as Beneficial as Shooting off to bring light to some’where You havent been before.. Its much more fun to have Move’ment and not to be stuck in a lot in life.. I dont want to be stuck alone in mine.. When i can Have Lights from every’ where.. I know my lot has something someone else needs.. but I dont like being that .. atleast here i can be more .. No one wants to be the one whos lot is so messy no one comes to visit or want to Be part of your space. But imagine having lots to think, say .. Feel.. Do.. and Having No one to share it with.. hoping just for a small moment.. ur purpose is to stay put.. but shine for others so brightly they can see you from a mile away way.. and want to be someone rely on to Give them food for thought.. in their loney dark corner of the world.. so that atleast theres a view they can choose to look at and admire and for a brief moment.. forget their lot sucks.. from making bad choices . Echo back. Even a black hole offers something to learn from .. and is different For others to consider.. to the rest.. im sure its illuminating and A unique view of the one who has the black hole.. wondering what that lot in life. If anything. Should make people appreciate all they had in their lot that gave them Desire and purpose to shine for others.. I imagined myself as a Ray or light hiding behind stars and using my rays to shoot ither stars .. and the stars turn around thinking it is the Bright one.. and its the universal child cloaked in fab’brick.. of space. Thinking its cute to rays Others.. Giggling and being mischievous.. As the only es’cape from the Cold and dark.. gripping onto each star .. and hoping they wont be mad .. While she Holds on tight…. In hopes that if she floats off.. theres a line to Grab hold of that will Draw back in to another light offering her a place to c’hawk (chalk) in their black board.. an outline of ideas. For someone brighter to overlook and decide what needs to be cleaned up (like in good will hunting) and offering a place to think out loud for that universal child who wants grand parents everywhere to want a visit. Thanks for the food for thought.. It helps my brain not to go stir crazy in my cell. And if ive ever Off’ended.. i apologize.. sometimes My Attitude Gets me into trouble my heart wishes hadnt ., im grateful for the Opportunities to correct previous positions.. and the generosity of those who Overlooked the bad times. In hopes in raising her to reach for people after .. To hold on to someone when shes Afraid shes lost everything. so that someday shes like that for someone else.. Suspending them in her lot .. Giving them a purpose too. So that when gravity of choices .. return them to grounded…. maybe they still have a place to go that feels light. (Space).. There was a jewish man who named his daughter “Elora” means light of God.. i loved That they put so much thought into her name and its meaning.. and i wanted that for my jewish name.. I loved it because it was “El” like God and a low’ra .. ra being a little light .. or the sound a monster makes “raw” its opposite “war” so i dont have to live on mars (which is raw and war). So while in my life i have to be that one…. hear… I can be A space cadet Outside of my cell.. and ex’panned … to tunnel a worm hole .. or War’m someone else up to recharge them in their faith. Ultimately hoping that even from a dis’stance.. eye can Be More .. even if its knowing what not to do or say .. still helpful. Distorted views and lenses.. Still are fun to look through/threw… thats why we watch scary movies and go to fun houses but dont live there.

The command to wear fringes, and bind scriptures on our hand, etc. is a sign to us, God and man that we belong to the God of Israel and the whole earth. People need to know someone believes in God. It draws others to ask questions so they would know our Creator and be saved from a lifetime of torments.

No tzitzit and tefillin are for male Jews post Bar Mitzvah, not for everyone. Whatever we go through in this world has a G-dly purpose. That is good news we all can appreciate. We also don't get 'saved'. That is a non Judaic, non Torah, non G-dly concept. Some things may help protect us. Different idea altogether. Part of that protection is knowing that G-d gives each of us the strength and courage to continue on to fulfill our individual, unique mission for Him, that He needs each of us to do.

I found it when my wife of 62 yrs went to Heaven a yr ago and I was even wondering if I should wash and clean the 38 bullet first AND STARTED laughing at myself thinking our dumb I was about to die and thought the bullet ought to be clean , WHY ? God said , wait , I want you to do something for me ,first ! I read Ezekiel long ago and liked the part about the Bronze UFO 'S GOD USED TO BRING A GROUP OF PEOPLE THERE ! So, not being shy anymore , I asked God to come get me in one of those vehicles and bring my wife with you and members of her family if you like ! I'm not crazy yet , but this is the way it happen that kelp me alive to go on. So, I sorta pretend AND PRAY TO HIM , to help me say and comment things to help Israel , I guess because it was the one thing that helped me as a very depressed poor nobody when I read a small NTB a kind old lady gave me at 12 yrs old . But, before that , I knew and felt God even with the hell going on in my family then . Funny ,isn't it ?

What if its to find out what it means to be alone. If I try to imagine from the creators point of view the beginning seems like the ultimate existential crisis. Why does Gd exist? What is the purpose or meaning of existing all alone in an apparent void of nothing? This fits the Gd needs us narrative. Maybe just maybe there is an answer elusive to even Gd. The lack of the answer gives rise to creation in his image.
@613YY17 сағат бұрын
There is an answer to everything. G-d has all of it. It is a very calming idea to know that all of this has a reason. All of it has a purpose. Within the limitations of our minds, we don't know the details. G-d does. That's reassuring.
@wechosenfew762217 сағат бұрын
@613YY It could but it makes no sense to me. Maybe not knowing the answer to everything also makes them perfect. The Torah is full of "mistakes" made but no one says that makes the creator less perfect. Why should not knowing some things be any different? Imagine you are totally alone, in the beginning, there's absolutely nothing but you. You don't feel there's a chance there in lies the whole reason to create something. 🤔

As a Muslim I couldn’t disagree more. The creation of the heveans and earth is far greater a creation than us humans. We have free will, we can do good or we can do bad and that cover only benefits us. If you do a good mitzvah you do it because it benefits you. If you don’t use your computer on Shabbat it doesn’t change god’s majesty 1 iota, but it helps you repair your relationship with him.
@613YY17 сағат бұрын
Your misunderstanding of mitzvahs is unfortunate. G-d created mitzvahs with a purpose. A G-dly purpose not a human one. All to be utilized to perfect this world for Him blessed be He. We keep Shabbat for Him. To reunite with G-d after the toils of the work week. As a reminder of the creation and a glimpse of the World to Come here on this perfected world. This is all about Him. G-d's wants and needs. Not ours heaven forbid.

@ thank you for engaging. I may have misused the word mitzvah because I’m not Jewish. But isn’t a mitzvah a good deed? (In Islam it’s called hassanat). Would feeding the poor be a mitzvah? @@emindeboer5280 Heaven forbid. Love is not what this is all about. G-d is. That means thinking, to gain understanding and closeness, ever so much closer, to G-d.

That's a limited and negative understanding of G-d as only a disciplinarian. Heaven forbid. G-d is many things and yet not a thing. He is everything.

Those are good words, but be careful; you don't confuse God (El' Enyon) with Yahweh.

What Is in the Hebrew scriptures. Isaiah 52:2 Dust being a metaphor for flesh, serpents food. Circiumsize your heart ,Deuteronomy 10:12-17 and Deuteronomy 30:6 a future event, with no flesh identification, ethnicity falls away. . Isaiah 9:6- 7 Verse 7 indicates it is a future event, The government upon the sons shoulders being the laws of heaven as in the fathers laws himself. So the question is if you dont follow the laws in theTorah, explained by the Tanakh, the question is what do you follow. What is this thing called Judaism? Micah 7:3-6 Why the Jews Are Not God's Chosen People (2024) YTVideo

@@613YY Ethnocentrism is a major factor in the divisions among members of different ethnicities, races, and religious groups. It's the belief that one's ethnic group is superior to another. Ethnocentric individuals believe they are better than other individuals for reasons based solely on their heritage. Accusation in a mirror (AiM) (also called mirror politics, mirror propaganda, mirror image propaganda, or a mirror argument) is a technique often used in the context of hate speech incitement, where one falsely attributes one's own motives and/or intentions to one's adversaries.. Repent , the time is drawing near.

No ! Do Mitzwot, it's to keep us occupied with Godly Things, stay of Troubles, and not to be Bored, What else, you suggest, didn't we try everything, that didn't work, so it's for our own good, we need to get it ! Then The Godly Gates will open up🩵
