I found out I am Jewish when I was nearly 70 years old, Ilive in Austria, was born in S Africa in a Dutch family, no-one in my family ever mentioned that we are Jewish, so -I am lost and try to find my roots, I always knew somethings not straight in our family. my mom died when we were very small. Have a wonderfull day.

The reality of Jews who hid being Jews is a sad one we hear of often. Besides there were forced conversions and pretending to convert while again hiding. It's all done a lot to our communities. Blessings for you along this part of your journey. G-d has a reason that you found out now.

at least in my limited experience it's hard to find ppl more helpful in terms of living wisdom...ive "been" flipped inside out a time or two tugging at the almighty's cape.... the light given off by Torah.... the lens of Torah.... through which life looks liveable.... Almighty Father please, please always remind Rabbi Friedman that it's more likely he would "wish for his own irrelevance" than that he ever would actually attain it!. Please may Rabbi Friedman always feel the love and appreciation of the millions of ppl he touches. Ppl whose days are improved, prolonged and enriched by HaShem directly through the various aspects of His Rabbi Friedman's day.... Spreading light.... Truly a blessing to have grown up in a world with Rabbis❤ ty rabbi

Makes sense, but what if someone needs us but we keep screwing up? Seems like there's a point at which it might be better if I just stop trying if I might be making things worse. How do you know?
@truthseeker91106 күн бұрын
You can never truly know how much you mean to someone just by being present & there for them. A significant other/true friend will accept you for YOU, all things considered and acknowledged. As long as we make a conscious effort to prolong mistakes from occurring, and even more so, taking the “proper precautions” to not set ourselves up for failure in the future, we will always be bettering ourselves. No human is absolutely perfect, and that’s what makes us perfectly human. We have free will to decide how we will shape ourselves and the world around us. It’s up to us how much we invest in doing so.❤️😁👍

It happens fairly naturally when someone needs us. We don't force our help on them. That's counterpriductive.

I am a Christian, but what Rabbi Friedman is saying is 💯 on point. That is exactly what religious folks say. A lot of people in the church are religious, and hold fast to judgement, coldness, and legalistic rules/standards. Some of these standards are not found in the bible.

It's so much easier to ask God: What do you need from me, than ask him to help you. If you ask him to help you, that means that you are the one who initiates the action, your needs are being met. As Rabbi Manis said, he's your buttler, and you are his master. You are putting yourself above god. If you ask him, what can I do for you, you are putting yourself below god, you are being his servant. What do you think is more natural, to be the servant of god, or to be the master of god? What is better for you?
@613YY5 күн бұрын
That's an amazingly topsy turvy idea that is illogical. Interesting though.

If someone could answer me that would be great, just one question : How can we say God has a need ? A need is here when there is a lack of something, but God is perfect, He does not have to be "completed"..no ? And actually, do we really don't need to be born ? I've always been taught that we are here to fix something, so yes maybe we don't want to, and let's say that yes, we didn't ask anything, but do we not have to fix it ? And so it would be on us.. Thank you still a lot!
@613YY6 күн бұрын
What you think is perfect seems more like sterile. Unapproachable. Not wanting an intimate relationship. G-d is ierfect though G-d blessed be He is vulnerable. Has to be in order to be in an intimate relationship with us. Otherwise it's superficial. Yes, we're all here to help repair this world for G-d. Each person in their own unique individual way that noone else can do. If we don't accomplish our mission our soul has to come back in a different body to do it. The world can't be perfected without it.

I answered you. YT took it away. May the darkness they do be redeeemed now.

......soooooo......we do need something after all ...... we need to serve God or we should establish that as something we need. R Friedman leaves unspoken and unexplored what happens if the Jews do not serve God. Where does it say what R Friedman says, that this message needs to go out to the world? Why haven't the Jews done that?
@613YY6 күн бұрын
This message here shared by RMF is going out to the world. Check. Needing to serve G-d as He needs isn't being needy. It's being needed. Check. Jews serve G-d. Check. What happens if we don't? G-d is disappointed. G-d encourages us to serve Him. Check.
@Sanderson556 күн бұрын
If you have a need and need someone else to fulfill it , doesn't sound like definition of Perfection, so you suggest that God is not Perfect?
@613YY6 күн бұрын
Vulnerability does not diminish perfection.
@Sanderson555 күн бұрын
@@613YY depending on your definition of perfection. Do you think that God is Vulnerable ? Vulnerability, by its nature, exposes uncertainty and potential failure.
@613YY5 күн бұрын
@Sanderson55 Your idea of vulnerability is too negative. Yes, G-d is vulnerable to us. Can't have an intimate relationship without it.

Our Creator did not design our culture; we ignored His wisdom. This is bondage to an employment system. Our loving Heavenly Father said that unmarried youth widows and elderly should live with their family. They could plant gardens and fruit trees and have food producing pets for food security, good health, freedom, peace and joy. Our children are to be taught the written wisdom of our Creator at home and learn life skills for their future families. The are to keep the weekly seventh day Sabbath of rest, No Work. Messiah said, take My yoke upon you for it is light. He spoke AS the word of the God of Israel and the whole earth.

Moshiach has not been here yet to say anything. He will be one day soon.

@613YY Our Messiah is the word of our Creator and Savior. Looking to the man without the written wisdom and guidance of our Heavenly Father is idolatry. It is the word of God Faithful and True that comes Victorious in REVELATION 19.

@@Marie-h5s Nope. Not ever. Heaven forbid. Never. No conversions ever either. Moshiach is not a savior. Isn't supposed to be. We don't need saving. You go ahead and enjoy though without us.
