Gaumukh Yatra | Gangotri To Gaumukh Trek | Origin of Ganga | Manish Solanki Vlogs

गोमुख पहुंचने के लिए गंगोत्री नेशनल पार्क में से होते हुए 18 किलोमीटर की पैदल यात्रा करनी पड़ती है। गंगोत्री से गोमुख की दूरी 18 किलोमीटर है। गंगोत्री से 9 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर चिड़वासा, 14 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर भोजवासा स्थित है। भोजवासा में रहने और खाने की सुविधा है। यहां बेस कैंप बना हुआ है जहां यात्री एक रात्रि का विश्राम करके आगे गोमुख के लिए प्रस्थान करते हैं। भोजवासा से गोमुख की दूरी 4 किलोमीटर है। गोमुख गंगा नदी का उद्गम स्थल है यहां से गंगा नदी की शुरुआत होती है। यहां पर इसे भागीरथी नदी के नाम से पुकारा जाता है। आगे जब भागीरथी नदी देवप्रयाग में अलखनंदा नदी से मिलती है तब इसे गंगा कहा जाता है। गोमुख जाने के लिए परमिट की आवश्यकता होती है जो वन विभाग आवंटित करता है। आप उत्तरकाशी या गंगोत्री वन विभाग के दफ्तर से परमिट बनवा सकते हैं। ऑनलाइन परमीट बनाने का विकल्प भी उपलब्ध है।
गंगोत्री उत्तराखंड के चार धामों में से एक धाम है यह उत्तरकाशी से 100 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। आप गंगोत्री सड़क मार्ग से उत्तरकाशी होते हुए पहुंच सकते हैं। रेल मार्ग से यहां आने के लिए हरिद्वार और देहरादून पास के रेलवे स्टेशन है। वायु मार्ग से गंगोत्री पहुंचने के लिए जौली ग्रांट देहरादून नजदीक का हवाई अड्डा है।

I did this trek in 2016 at the age of 68. God's grace allowed me a wonderful dharshan. But did not cross the river by trolley which facility I don't think existed then. So had the view from the opposite side from a distance of 500 metres as going closer was not permitted due to glacier breaking and bullet like ice cube splinters posed danger. on the approach to gaumukh the position of the glacier which has retreated considerably over the years was found marked on the rocks from the year 1891 .Hearty congratulations , you brought back those memories to me so thanks. I did this trek when i was much younger. We finished it in one day but we took the support of the pony ride on the way up & i took the pony ride on the way down as well since i was injured. Its not an easy trek at all. Definitely not something you should plan for if youre doing something like this for the first time. Appreciate your courage to do this in one go & actually record the whole thing. It gets very lonely and confusing in the Bhojwasa to Gomukh trek. youre brave. god bless! Har har Gange!

I along with frends visited Goumukh around 48 years back.On way during the night we stopped at Chirbasa(Bhujbasa ?),at the ashrama of LalBaba.And next day we visited Goumukh.Big ice boulders were falling from near the Goumukh ,so we could not make approach as near as shown here.Yes,it was an adventure and alas I must not attempt such trek at my this age of 75. Also during those days there were less trekkers than now. I must add road conditions in Yamunotri and Badrinath were superb in comparison with that of Kedarnath and Goumukh. And scenic beauty towards Yamunotri,Badrinath and Kedarnath were much better than that of Goumukh.We also planned to climb to Tapovan from Goumukh bt had to shelve the plan for want of leave and more compulsion of return journey railway ticket to Calcutta.

Hello Manish: I visited chaar dham b/w 11th June and 25th June - Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath and covered thriyuginarayan, Gopeshwar, Pandukeshwar too.. We had planned for Hem kund but as other pilgrims who visited there earlier mentioned it is 4 times tougher than Yamunotri and given that I was unwell that time, cancelled it. Just would like to check for people with medical history, how feasible it is to trek to Gaumukh ?

Very nice and informative video.... I too had visited Gangotri on 19th May this year.... very nice trip it was.... Your efforts are very courageous, kudos to you.... Just one correction-- Amarnath cave is at 14300ft. altitude and the highest point on that track (from Chandanwadi to cave) is at 15200 ft. peak just before the slope to reach Panchtarini.... So we've to brass our self to scale to that much altitude to reach the holy cave. I've done this and seen its measurements at equipment with some CRPF officers accompanying me that time. .... You should also get altitude of Gomukh measured by some good equipment..... Anyway, many congratulations on your great achievement!!

Gomukh is not the origin of ganga .it comes from sivling mountain. Before gomukh , ganga is flowing through under glaciers .but now can see it some places over there.we can go to thapovan, 4 kms from gomukh,and after that nandanvan.1 completed char dham Yatra in2012,took 5.5 hrsfrom gangothri to gomukh.... After that in 2014 kailas manasarovar,2016 adi kailas ,2019 manimahesh kailas,2022 kinnaur kailas,one to come is sreekant mahadev kailas.hoping to complete 5 kailas.

I had been to Gangotri in the year 2011.. that time temple was closed (I had travelled from Delhi without having any information) That time distance was 7 km…to Gomukh.. now the glacier melted I wished I could trek but I am too old and have asthma… aap ki saans ki awaj se mujhe yaha Asthma ka ehsaas hora h ( psychological) Thank you for showing my dream place…. Just awesome amazing 🙏 I am from Andhra Pradesh living in Bangalore my dream was to see the snow peaked mountains… I just took the car and left thinking I can view them at Dehradun… but…. Nope…. I kept on randomly… ended up at Uttar kashi Tehri route and by 6pm shock of my life… No road further ( at the gate of temple) And …. No Fuel in the car I did not even know where I was… a military man appeared and helped me to get back but he showed me the temple from outside

Maine 1month pahle Gangotri gayi thi, lekin himmat nhi huyi Gomukh jane ka, isiliye thori afsos to thi..but Aapka e vdo dekhke bahut achchha laga, qki ek concept to mile, janti hu original view swarg se sundar.. firvi jo mile avi,wobhi to Kom nhi. Thank you so much. Maa Ganga Bless you.
