HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

thank you for narrating one of my silly scribblings :) i apologize for the low quality. this was a sort of pseudo sequel to a previous story Isolated Vengeance, and the entire thing was poorly planned. i didnt have a plan actually, i just... wrote stuff.

I get you bro, that's why i don't write multi parters anymore. I just skip the whole planning phase now and just write single parters about whatever is on my mind, all taking place in the same universe. One story may be better or worse but it will never affect the entire universe. Your story is good tho so don't worry about it. Keep writing my guy.

well it was never intended to be a multi parter when i started writing it. it was meant to be a standalone. then i absent mindedly kept adding bits and pieces to it that called back to another story. so i just went with it. very poorly but hey, what can i do?@@HeroinYoda

​@@valtiel2589 Fiction writers have been using similar concepts and ideas to one another for centuries now. Don't have similar aspects of another stori dissuade you from writing it. No story is fully unique and it would be disservice to human creativity to assume that lot of creatives didn't have similar ideas. What matters is how you execute your idea. If it is well done or at least fun to read, who cares if it has similar aspects to another story? Hell, I started working on a sci fi fantasy novel over 15 years ago about a group of military personnel being transported (tbf it was intentional transport) to another world. Now hundreds if not thousands of fictions online are about similar concepts, and I have no doubt there were plenty of those already present well before I started writing mine.

@@valtiel2589 - hell no, don't abandon it. There are a LOT of differences, and the concept of capsuleers existed in sci-fi long before EVE Online came along. Your universe is central to Earth in the 24th century. In Eve it's thousands of years in the future and they forgot about Earth almost entirely. A few similarities are always going to crop up now and then, don't ever let that discourage you :)

The spare mic doesn't run your great narration of these stories. Thank you for doing this for us. Excellent story! The detail of the launch, makes it very realistic. Alien ship that has been in the skies for over two centuries is human made? Mentioning a colony they have no knowledge of? Great, the ship admits they didn't just kill hostile alien life but innocent alien life - killing ALL non human sentience. Humans sent back to the primitive times, and the other humans waiting for them to advance once more. Humans need to review the historical info given them and choose what? To be likewise murdered by the other cybernetic humans or just ignore what they did and go along with them? Is it really a choice or a demand? Waking from a dream to a nightmare.

That is an interesting rifle in the thumbnail, the magazine is between the grip and the trigger which should make it anatomically impossible for a human hand to fire, but apparently that isn't an issue since it's firing without anything near the trigger

The author should use his dictionary frequently, he might be able to use words like "retro-burn" accurately. Possibly the narrated pronunciation or Corsairs was due to a misprint on the screen. An interesting story, though if the Corsairs were going to actually help, they would assist in tech advance, be it openly or surreptitiously.

@@DaMasterPilot I didn't notice most of that stuff until you pointed it out to me. The AI is trying so hard and failing so miserably. The text cuts it off a bit, but I think I see a bit of a gas tube sticking out of the front of the handguard. Not a small AR gas tube, it looks like it's the same diameter as the barrel. The AI put all the parts in the wrong place then tried to shove an AK looking gas tube in there too.
