Update: Yep it worked perfectly. It took a little more effort than I thought to remove the board trace but other than that, Easy Peesy. I even found the weird rattle of the separator shield hitting one of the caps and gently bent it back in place. Thanks Again.

Thank you Mike, could you please provide the details as to how to discharge the caps...What did you use as a discharger and the pins you connected to.

Please do a search for capacitor discharge tool. If you are not comfortable with that, please don't attempt work work on this.
